VERY WELL PRODUCED!!! I don't think I've ever seen a UA-cam video that I can say "good music " , but im saying it, "good music" and excellent photography both drone footage and up close boat shots. Makes me really miss my Flatty(1965 Bob Warren Hurricane glass over wood with a mahogany deck, 327 Vette small block). She was a beautiful flatbottom that turned heads ,reliable and fast considering it had a small block. Anyway, awesome video great job!!!
Great video man! My Dad had a Taylor that was brown, two tone with heavy metal flake and a 455 Olds. I learned how to ski behind it! Good times! Thanks!
The rest of the world doesn't exist when you're on the River. I could be on the beach and broke and be content. Smell the boats, smell the exhaust and smell the suntan lotion. River Ice Fishing is when you reach in the ice chest for a bottle of beer. It's so cold your hand hurts. Pop the cap off and watch the steam curl from the bottle. Chug as much as you can handle....., burp and it burns your nose. That's Colorado River Ice Fishing at it's finest.
What's the typical length and beam of these babies? Well shoot, how bout all the specs? Weight, horsepower ranges of these guys, time to plane, top end, v drive vs jet, cost, etc. :)
Sean O Well every boat is a little different but I'm running a 18' Hondo Vdrive flatbottom with a 454 and really there is no time to plane it happens when you hit the gas pretty much.Im not sure top end speed on mine but mainly they are for getting out of the hole fast.
From what I know... They weigh anywhere from 1200-2500lbs. Horsepower ranges from 500-2500 horsepower. The fast guys can run between 120-150mph. Boats range from 18-22 feet long... Cost... Just like cars, how much do you want to spend? Jets vs. V Drive... That's more of a preference thing.
I was thinking the same about the poor water quality!!! The scum line is just horrible. All that beautiful work by Billy B., it’s a real shame the Cove hasn’t addressed this at all.
So glad that you dig 'em, and thanks for looking in! Boats aren't everybody's thing, that's for sure, but these really get the gap between street machines and other customs closer to the water for us.
Round Six Podcast Boats Are my thing. And although I love the low free board '70's balls out styling of these low slung rockets can't see owning one unless I had the extra coin to simply have it as an occasional toy. Pieces of art as far as I'm concerned. Maybe someday.
Oh man. So I fly from Hawaii to over there somewhere, buy a boat, buy a truck, show up there, break new boat. Say whatever and buy another motor, run till I'm broke, sell everything for first class ticket back home!!!?????? IDK
I fell in love like 10 times throughout this video.

The water quality was a bummer..
Yea ,if they opened up the north end then they have clean river water flowing through
Not my thing as far as owning one. But man, they b beauties. Love'em. Glad they're out there.

NO BRAS SHOULD BE ALOUD WHILE IN PIRATES COVE.....EVER
Just get two brown tubesocks, drop a potato in each one, then you can have the same experience..
