I like your videos man I made a bumper using your how to video it took me like 3 weeks lol instead of your pelican case I made a honda generator carrier an a hi-lift jack and a storage box where you got your tire ..where ever I go a get so many compliments about the bumper my total cost was 350 totally worth it love it thank goodness for your videos 😁 ps im going to build rock slider like the ones your truck has that's goin to be my winter project
How much play is there with the swing arm out and the pin popped in place? I'm thinking about something like this for a drill press, but want the arm to be locked in place well when swung out.....
Not sure if this helps, but I checked the website and they do happen to offer a rear hitch bumper for a 92 4runner, i believe it should meet similar, if not exact requirements for a 92 pickup
Hey this is a little off topic but i really like the black steel wheel look u have on ur truck. Are u able to get those rims with a little more offset than stock rims? They look like they poke out a little more than stock. Looks great
Built this same bumper with same hinge. Not close to 200$ lol. The 3x5 - 6’ was $156. The hinge is 140$. The latch is 50$. I paid 20 for the Cadd files for the bumper mount and I was given the steel and had them laser cut for free. Otherwise that’s 120$. The receiver extension which I welded in the center of the bumper was 21$. I also bought 48” of 1/4” flat stock, 3” wide for end caps, and support gussets. I have not purchased the steel for the swing out. That will be another 120-140$
That’s my next purchase. My All-pro Apex front bumper was suppose to be delivered today but no show. Kudos to you sir! Looks like you paid $1500 for it! 😊👍🏻
@@OverlandUnderBudget That'd be great. My friend and I are going to build a swing out for my 04. DC. But I like the minimalist look and practicality. Been scrolling through and watching. everything.
@@ninjadarookie Field repair is the biggest benefit of steel vs alloy. Steel dents, and can be pounded out. Aluminum alloy is typically not as forgiving, especially in the middle of nowhere. You're right about weight. Especially being rotational and unsprung. But, I don't think the difference is significant enough on a slow going trail rig to outweigh the benefit of steel. But, if someone is planning to bomb through the desert at 60mph+, or is a frequent highway cruiser, alloy wheels begin to make more sense.
The rear bumper lower was made by a company that is no longer in business. I got it off craigslist for $350! it was made by "stout equipment manufactures"
Perhaps you could turn up your volume... I'm watching on an iPad on full volume and I can't hear you... so I either listen to the speakers or I watch.... but I can't do both at the same time!
The most irreplaceable part of any SUV, particularly Toyotas, is the rear hatch/door. A bumper should protect that from rear impacts, putting a tire there destroys the doors in even a slow speed impact. Not a good idea.
The most simple yet most effective swing among them in my judgement. Simply the best...
The bumper turned out really nice!
The fold down table adds a lot of flat space.
Thanks mark!
Can’t wait to get one of these in a 2nd gen! Great build.
Awesome! Thank you!

Great build
Amazing job
Solid build 👍
thank you!
Love the steeleys
That's what I have on mine
It floors me to see what people spend on wheels lol . I would have to refinance my truck
Now I want to build one for the van
dude that would sick!
Nice . Going to do one for my 95 ram , I have q bit of a different idea .
Nice setup! Getting ready to do a similar design on my Bronco. Great video, thanks.
Sweet glad you liked it, what year bronco?!
That’s awesome man! I plan on building that exact same setup for my toyota!
Right on!
Dude...excellent bumper...
Thank you!
Well done Sir
Thank you!
Thank you!
I love this rear bumper. I need to do something like this to my 1st gen. 🍻
Go for it! its one of my favorite changes
Really nice build on the swing out mount do you have a vid showing how you put it together with welding it?
Super nice👍

Went to the 4X website. Beyond reasonable pricing. I do wish they offered a rear hitch bumper for my 92 though.

Did you Make the rear bumper or did you buy it and weld the hinge onto it?
With a bumper like this where could you put a rear camera?
This is cool, Wish i new what i was doing lol.
how much would you charge to do this for my trailblazer and to carry two jerry cans
all your builds are right up my Alley, I would love t meet up with you some time. Awesome job. message me when you get a chance
I'm doing about the same design on my '94 except I'm putting a ladder where you have your orange box. Have you thought about doing that?
oh thats a cool idea. For me i can stand on the rear tires, or sliders and access just about everything.
Nice work! Do you have a DIY of rear steel bumper? Thanks!
Yes! Just posted the 1st of a 3 part build series! check it out
Is the receiver(tow) hitch part of the bumper or a separate bolt on?
Its part of the bumper
Nice build. I didn't see a latch on the fold down table. What holds it in the up position?
Thanks! It’s actually a strong magnet that holds it in place once vertical
Whered you get the lid organizer for the chow pelican 1600?
Came with them when I got them used. I think they are pelican

Hey may I recently bought a camper do you recommend to put plywood or a metal bar so the clamps could secured better the camper shell
to add the clamping surface? send me a message and photo on instagram and ill try and help. instagram @overlandunderbudget
Is it me or is this audio super low? The swingout is great though!
How wide and thick is your main bumper piece? Like 6inx4in? And probably 3/8 thick metal?
exactly my man!
Great video! What latch are you running on it?

Dang i hate when stuff doesn't show up on a friday and thanks man i really like how it turned out.
Any idea on how much it weighs? Without the tire and full case. Just the bumper and swingout.
You know what i dont, im going to pull it off and paint it properly soon and ill weigh it

10ft of 2x3 tubing $70?, 1- 4x innovations hinge $120

Do you have the dimensions of everything?
💪🏻
what kind of rims do you use on your tacoma?
In another video (the rig walk around one, I think), he says they're the steelies that normally mount the spare tire.

FYI, this isn’t a first gen. I owned a 1995.5 Tacoma that had a different body style. That was the first gen production.
ohhhh you should let the rest of the world know then. I think they might have categorized it.. : )
