Katrina is the best singer for me. That’s her son. Katrina did not even have undergone professional singing lessons growing up. She was just self-taught which is always the case her in the Philippines. I hate the fact that she was underrated for a very long time but God is good because she is definitely getting the spotlights she deserves now slowly. She is humble and funny at the same time she always supports other singers especially those who are just new in the industry. Im really a proud fab of hers. She is the only artist who can hit high and low notes, impersonates, rap, whistle, etc
Her new stuff from this last year is phenomenal. Her live singing is like it’s recorded. She’s phenomenal. Her Live versions of Araw Gabi, There’s A Winner In You, Anak, Saving All my Love For You, Come In Out Of The Rain are jaw dropping!
Vocally, Katrina Velarde is the closest thing to Prime Regine Velasquez. She is one of the very few who dared, and succeeded, to sing some of Queen Regine’s hardest songs - Paraisong Parisukat and Linlangin Mo.
