3:58 definitely, RE has provided all the mounts in a manner that is difficult for general maintenance, they should provide simple mechanism to dismount the tank, like Yamaha R15v2, just remove front two bolts, the tank lifts up wrt the bolts near seat are, then remove the fuel pump connectors (fuel line, fuel pump electrical lines, purge valve line, drain line & alternative fuel indicators if it comes not attached to fuel pump assembly).
In bs6 himalayan 411 has the same issue, mounting the tank into the two sided rubber holders are very difficult and at the same time, the bolts to fit on the chassis below the front seat sometimes need bit coaxing to get alignment proper to fit in.

Nice to have the air intake much higher on the new model.

Oh yes, just take a bit longer to access, but its not like it need access every 1000 kms or so
      thus manageable ;)

Interesting, a bit more fiddly than the 411 tank off fully.

I'll agree to that, airfilter cleaning, spark plug access, tank removal, etc all were very easy on 411. Got to love the simplicity of aircooled engines
      Cheers

I’m confused.. you said you didn’t need to remove the tank to access air filter, but then you removed the whole tank to access it. Could you not access with the tank just lifted?

My bad, tank needs to be removed for the next, that is to gain access to the spark plug. I forgot to mention that..
Air filter is easily accessible without tank removal though

is it the same air filter as in himalayan 410 or not? I know the oil filter is the same...

Naah mate, air filter is completely different. Oil filter is same as you said
