Ann, the glaze on the fluted bowl was so pretty. So many tips and advice, thankyou for sharing your skills, tools and all your 'how to do' anything, it great that you make such beautiful pieces and show us how we can use your skills and tips in our own clay journey ❤️ thanks Ann😊
Wonderful video! I love the chickadee mug! I used to make all kinds of projects with tarpaper for the templates! One of my favorite hand building tool! Thank you Ann!
Thrift store items are my ABSOLUTE favorite things to hunt for and use to drape clay over!! For glass pieces I use light coat of cooking spray. When the texture is on the outside of the piece it’s the absolute best!!! This is the perfect piece for drippy glaze combos!! Love it!! Using the dowel to make the mug is amaaaazing!! How cool is that!!! May I ask why you go back and press the clay back onto the tube? Thanks so much h Ann. Those handle extruders are life savers aren’t they? I don’t buy the Diamond core ones as the cheaper ones work just fine! That chickadee mug is adorable!! Omg I forgot about the tar paper thing!! I have some a friend gave me but I forgot what it was for!! Hahaha. You’re soo awesome Ann!! The little snake and ball at those seems before is just a fabulous idea!! My gosh. I Can’t thank you enough for all you teach us!!
Thanks for sharing that Michele. I can tell you really have a potters mind. As far as why I work backwards and press the clay to the tube ----my tube is the sze diameter of the mug I want. It is actually a little wider than I like. When I am stretching the clay out to insert the tube, i have to stretch it largert than the tube which is too wide for a mug so I work it back to shrink i down. It makes the cylinder even too as it can be difficult to get exactly even. Which handle makers do you use. I havent found another one as wide as the Diamoncore ( or as adjustable)
@@annruel1982 You’re so very welcome. Thanks for the explanation. I wasn’t sure if that step was something we needed to do or if it was just to get it the size you wanted.
@@micheledickey4066 I understand. It is not something you need to do, but give that technique a try and you will see that it can be easy to loose control of the size of the cylinder. Working the clay backward helps you get the size you want. 🙂
It is my pleasure. Im so glad you could pick up that tip. Love those round spoons. I really appreciate your kind words and for you watching. Happy potting to you.
Hi Ann! Thank you for your wonderful shortcut tips... Beautiful work as always.. Question: On your supply list, I see things on their that I didn't see you use in this particular video. The items with ** I'm assuming these are what you used for the design? Such as: Polymer clay Leveler *Hole punchers *Painters trim guide Styrofoam bowls *Atomizer *Needle point tracing wheel *Icing bottles Lazer level-not avail. LASTLY WHERE THE SUPER THANKS BUTTON😊

It is a gift and and a curse to see things you can use in other purpose as ment. I live in a small flat and I filled up all spaces with things that I can use. I am no horder, I am crafter. 😁 and yes I keep packaging just for the pattern.
This video is really helpful! Just wondering what is the mat that you are using to roll out the clay on? The dimensions looks perfect and also does not leave any cloth like impression on the clay
