good vid , boiler is tripping out,at intermittant times ,, condensate trap has been discoloured brownish ,,,also it trips out less often with condensate trap removed ..do u think this is cross leaking
This video is a clear example of why NOT to recommend WB...BAXI Vaillant Ideal Glowworm and even Alpha boilers far quicker and easier to carry out repairs.......
You have never worked on a Glowworm Energy or Vaillant ecofit pure boilers with the newish alloy heat exchangers, first there bullet proof, second total strip and rebuild in an hour the first time I tried it, probably the best engineered boiler on the market. As for this video, its very professional and great to watch.
So the return pipe with this black securing clip must be removed unlike on juniors where its been "recommended" to leave it in place as its been made out of 2 half's and difficult to refit once taken off. Is this black retaining pipe clip made of one element now? Couldn't see it clearly in the vid. Thanks. 👍
Couldn't see either but thought they heat cells just same as juniors. Only top bit different think you can remove that first make easier getting cell out would hav thought
No need to remove the return pipe or unlock the the securing clip. The clip just keeps the pipe in a central position to the combustion box. Once all other connections are removed the heat bank will lift off the return pipe with a little persuasion. Just remember to replace the o-ring and lubricate it well to ensure the new heat bank reseats.
Fuck that. Another awful design from Worcester. Why people think they’re the best boiler manufacturer is beyond me. In comparison, that’s a half an hour job on most Vaillants.
Thanks Geoffrey used your method to flush a hx and plate and worked a treat , customer delighted
One more helpful video with full of knowledge , keep it on , Thanks 👍
Great vids noticed the gloves great idea worcester boilers bite

Another great vid mate. Keep it up
a dirty siphon could mean dirt coming in through the flue air intake right? how could you be sure its a leaking heat cell? great video
Dirt normally turns it grey, but it was brown like ch water

Completely agree. I always groan when faced with a Worcester with a problem. The worst designed boilers from a mantainance point of view.
