I love this song. It has hit home with me hard. I drank a lot, cussed, done drugs,been to prison and worn shackles and chains. Let me tell u something, by the power of Jesus Christ I am free from my sins and I am sober. I am not proud of my record. I have been locked up more times than I want to say. Nothing hard thanks to god. He protected me many ways even though I was a sinner. He delivered me from the dungeon, and saved my soul. Now it has been 40 years ago and I never been in trouble again. Thank you Jesus

I remember hearing this in church like 4 or 5 years ago. I’ll never forget. The person at my church singing this was singing their heart out it was so good. I am recently now truly repenting and turning from the sins I used to do almost everyday and yes the sins I used to do since I first heard this song. I read the Bible way more and pray way more. All my hope is in Jesus!

Recovering hard core addict drugs alcohol, had it all was a soccer mom nobody knew, but 1 mistake an it all came crashing down, I prayed for God to help me get out of all I was in HIS WAYS ARE NOT OUR WAYS! he sent me to prison for 2 yrs I lost my children to my oldest daughter thank the Lord they didn't go into the system to, my husband divorced me an died of alcoholism. But 1 guard liked me slid a Bible in to my alone cell Christmas Eve 2012, I stared at it for 2 weeks not wanting to give in but to keep doing it alone, then I heard a voice say loudly in my head ( not my own) God's voice say if u don't stop Carey you're going to die! That night I broke an gave my life to the Lord. He gave everything back I lost an amazing sober/clean husband my grown kids back a beautiful home in the country, he gave me double Blessings Back just as his words say. I've been clean an sober ever since! THANK YOU JESUS FOR LOVING ME ENOUGH TO ANSWER MY PRAYER AN SAVE ME🙌🙌🫶
