Looking back Wolfrun was one of the best parts of Smile Precure and he (along with Akaoni and Majorina) deserved so much better than they ended up getting. Smile really misused their fairy tale theme and didn’t use it to its fullest at all! They just said it was bout fairy tales but made it only about the Cures’ lives and Candy. Yes 5 is the most famous season in Japan so they hired the same character designer for Smile Precure and made many elements similiar, it’s a tribute and all of the main 5 girls in Smile are intentionally similiar to the main 5 girls of Yes5, due to the same character designer.
