Love it all. BUT, and not just because im a bassist, i felt like it was the *slightest* bit too soft for me. Im listening with good headphones, granted without a dac, and admittedly its a live recording. Just want to hear it more, sounded nice and crisp. Edit: (talking bout the bass).
whole thing is soft for sure. But it's got a larger dynamic range if you can crank it up. (the soft stuff stays soft, the loud stuff stays loud.) But through my fulla dac/amp, the bass is crazy axed. basically only hearing the slaps. super bummer.

Triforce, Power, Wisdom and Courage. The Triforce is the ultimate source of power. The Triforce, also known as the Ultimate Power, is a sacred golden relic left behind by the Golden Goddesses, Din, Nayru, and Farore, once they finished creating the realm, which came to be known as Hyrule. The Goddess Hylia was tasked with the protection of this world and the Triforce.
I found good success with a distortion into a pitch shifter (octave up, around 50/50 wet dry-mix,suite to taste) and a little bit of delay. Shimmery sounds at the end is from a shimmer reverb (reverb where the "reverb-y" part is shifted up an octave, giving those cavernous sounds). Good Luck!
You mean the sock on the neck? When you're running a heavily saturated signal like he is, if he were to hit an open string, you'd hear multiple octaves of it, with loads of distortion. Would ruin the whole song. He's just making life easier for himself, so if he fucks up, the whole song won't be drowned out by his open strings ringing. :)
Not 100% sure on any specifics, but I hear an octave pedal (Upper octave like Jimi Hendrix, not bass) and probably a fuzz pedal for the distortion which sounds fat, but not aggro like a metal sorta distortion. Hope that helps!
thank you 42 dislikes for reminding me that I hadn't given this video a like yet. Holy shit that bass playing is magical hearing it through headphones.
I wonder why the guitarists put his sock on the neck of the guitar. could it be a special capo???? or is it for muting strings???? ( No offense, I really like him, and the band too.)
