    Yo!!!
Again and again I am back!!!
The percussionist bangs hard!! The Heartbeat!! The Pulse!! The calm and then the storm and then back to the calm. The hands are the carriers of the knuckles. These 10s are what is known to us as simply saying, "point blank period!!"
The Bassist is he who is thumping the funk!!!
Thumb Thumping on thick resourceful coiled metallic wire! Currents of Grounded Energy!!
The guitarist strums the electrified sistrum strings like a percussionist rhythms of a steel drummer with a hint of sitar on finger tips of the stellar orb arising in our spectrum from from the Eastern Horizon!!!
The pianist types the diagram with the keys of ebony and ivory, perfect harmony. Taps into the keys as drum sticks hit the tips of goat skin percussion.
Collectively this creation vibrates as rivers have the current.
Altogether having a plethora of natural gifts, talents, and skills along with an abundance of Cosmic vibrational frequency from the Divine Souls and Benevolent Spirits of these Four Astronauts creates this harmony of elements for this song Walls in a living performance in set. Powerful indeed.
Only a collective of beings with a elevated electric mind in the ways of innerstanding and action as a lifestyle would InnerStand these similitudes in my utterance.

I found good success with a distortion into a pitch shifter (octave up, around 50/50 wet dry-mix,suite to taste) and a little bit of delay. Shimmery sounds at the end is from a shimmer reverb (reverb where the "reverb-y" part is shifted up an octave, giving those cavernous sounds). Good Luck!

You mean the sock on the neck? When you're running a heavily saturated signal like he is, if he were to hit an open string, you'd hear multiple octaves of it, with loads of distortion. Would ruin the whole song. He's just making life easier for himself, so if he fucks up, the whole song won't be drowned out by his open strings ringing. :)
