I'm really glad you decided to do another Revisit video of the NFL drafts. I really enjoyed the one you did last year. Since the 2017 draft was the one you covered, now with this video, people can do comparisons between that video and this video now. Also, as a Bills fan, Tre'davious White has been outstanding for the Bills. For being the first pick of the Mcdermott era (as Beane was hired after whaley was axed after the draft), they hit it out of the park. He was definitely missed when he went down last season with injury. Based on what's being said, his treatment is going well and hopefully he'll be back to his great self, perhaps even better.
I’m just realising that Houston was able to pick Watson because of their trade with Cleveland and now several years later he gets traded to Cleveland. Wild

Hey Tree! I love these Revisiting videos, I think you should definitely keep doing them. And maybe also another similar set of videos where you dive into the winners and losers of each super bowl & how their next 4-5 seasons went? Like a " _Revisiting the 20XX Super Bowl_ " series. I can think of quite a few ones that would be cool to see, and I'd love to see your take on them. - 2016 - *Broncos vs. Panthers:* Last hurrah for Peyton and the beginning of mediocrity for Denver, and a slow slide to irrelevance for Carolina. Neither team has won in the playoffs since this game. - 2017 - *Patriots vs. Falcons:* In which Atlanta kickstarted their legacy of failure & never recovered. Meanwhile NE made it to the next two super bowls, and made the playoffs every year except 2020 And so on. Just a random thought I had while watching.
As a 49ers fan this Draft was mostly great, even with a pair for first round bust. It wouldn't have mattered if we didn't draft extremely well in the later rounds. We finally didnt have Baalke.
Fournette, McCafferey, Mixon, Kamara, Dalvin cook, James Conner, Aaron Jones, Chris Carson, Austin ekeler…prob the best running back class ever. Especially considering the era isn’t reliant on running the ball anymore
As a Browns fan I remember the Browns traded up to the end of the first to draft Njoku so the Steelers wouldn’t draft him… or so we were told… I like Njoku and hindsight is always 20/20, but could you imagine the pass rush combo of Watt and Garrett?
As much as Patrick Mahomes elevated the Chiefs, Kareem Hunt getting cut helped keep them from being more. That offense was a work of art with Mahomes, Hill, Hunt, Kelce and Watkins.
shoutout to my hawks for trading out of pick 26 then pick 31, failing to land either TJ watt or ryan ramczyk (when oline was a big need at the time and he was the obvious pick), just to draft malik mcdowell at pick 35 💙💚
This was great to watch as we again see so many players rising up the draft board in the last 3 weeks because teams are overthinking things instead of simply using the evidence on the field.
It's crazy that you wait 5 years to make it and still so much has changed. Evan Engram has become a damn good TE, Malik Hooker a really goor starting safety and Howard an objective bust. Njouko has been elite. Crazy
Why would any Eagles fan “hate” Derek Barnett? He’s the one who recovered the fumble from Tom Brady at the end of SB52. That’s a moment in history, and Eagles fans remember it.

And you think a rookie qb would have survived in that? You think Mahomes would have lived being protected by vlad Ducasse, John Miller and Jordan mills throwing to Kelvin Benjamin, Deonte Thompson and zay jones? The only reason that team won is because tyrod Taylor ran for his damn life and the defense was good enough to scrape and claw exactly what they needed and nothing more. Patrick Mahomes would have been RG3d on that team
Mitch Trubisky in 2017 is what happened with Blaine Gabbert before him and Zach Wilson after him. He’s a guy who was never in Heisman conversations or the highest stage with his team, yet shot up draft boards cuz guys like Mel Kiper say stuff like “he has the tools to be great in the league”. And with possibly Will Levis joining them in 2023’s draft even tho Bryce Young and CJ Stroud are clearly better, it’s safe to say someone will give up a haul to Chicago so they can move up to number 2 (please do it).
Here after the 2023 regular season. Houston clinched their division and are heading to the playoffs, mainly due to CJ Stroud playing really well. He’s in the running for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Carolina cleaned house while helping Chicago win their second consecutive Tank Bowl. Bryce Young looks to be in over his head, but it’s hard to gauge if it’s on him adjusting to the NFL level or just another case of terrible coaching. Tennessee also missed the playoffs, but their main issues were losing games that were easily winnable and catching the injury bug. Will Levis has looked solid, but was one of the victims of the injury bug. Anthony Richardson was the main surprise, as he looked to bring Indy back to relevance. Unfortunately, he was out for the season after suffering a shoulder injury. I hope he fully recovers cuz he looked damn good when he played. Keep an eye out for him. Something tells me he’s gonna be their franchise guy for years to come. Edit: I almost forgot. Despite having a strong showing at the combine and at his pro day, Will Levis was the last QB of this group to be selected.
I really like this Draft Revisiting thing, I hope he does this for more past drafts say 2015 2012 and so on & so back. It's always nice to see hindsight
7:23 "I'd say yes, but the Panthers are a complete mess right now so I'd just say free him by means of trade to a relevant franchise." UTree did got his wish in the end.
Wild
Tree: His cap hit could knock them out of relevance
Chiefs: win 2 SBs in a row with Mahomes being the highest-paid player on the team by a country mile.
Ronnie Stanley: Tears ACL 5 years after getting drafted by the Ravens in 2016
Marlon Humphrey: Tears pectoral muscle after getting drafted by the Ravens in 2017
So that leaves Hayden Hurst and....oh no....OHHH NOOO!!!!!!!!
😂😂😂😂 underrated comment
Lamar already got hurt and i hurst unfortunately went through mental difficulties. So hollywood next 🥲

Meanwhile NE made it to the next two super bowls, and made the playoffs every year except 2020
And so on. Just a random thought I had while watching.
As a 49ers fan this Draft was mostly great, even with a pair for first round bust. It wouldn't have mattered if we didn't draft extremely well in the later rounds. We finally didnt have Baalke.
I remember when the 2017 draft analysis video was uploaded. So proud of how far Tree’s come.
I love these Draft recap videos so much, even if I have to relive the Takk McKinley pick again 😵
Looks like all it took for Njoku to break out was an elite QB.
When you get to the Jordan Love pick, the rating should automatically be "WTF?"
I'm glad you're planning on making this a yearly thing. It's a nice time capsule.
As much as Patrick Mahomes elevated the Chiefs, Kareem Hunt getting cut helped keep them from being more. That offense was a work of art with Mahomes, Hill, Hunt, Kelce and Watkins.
As a Rams fan i appreciate that he talked about the other rounds of the draft besides the first
Looking back at it in 2023, as a Texans fan the Watson pick ended up leading us down the road to Cj stroud, so I still kinda see it as a dub
Already five years, damn, this C-19 fucked up our time in everything we do.
It's the chinavirus
COVID was a great pick in the New World Order draft, stopped every sport in the world for a while
@@sergiowinter5383 Chinavirus
Good year for corners(other than Conley). Baltimore, New Orleans, and Buffalo all got franchise cornerstones.
I’ve been waiting my whole life for this
Would love to see some older drafts revisited. 2011 was an absolute all-timer
As a jags fan, looking back on the engram pickup now I feel so relieved he’s had the performance he has this season.
Always great to see new content, tree!
I'm uhhh...gonna have to contradict you there.
shoutout to my hawks for trading out of pick 26 then pick 31, failing to land either TJ watt or ryan ramczyk (when oline was a big need at the time and he was the obvious pick), just to draft malik mcdowell at pick 35 💙💚
I'll never not smile when the kid starts celebrating Marlon Humphrey's pick before reading it.
been re-watyching all of these, would love to see this for the NHL
Can’t wait for the 2018 draft revisit. Colts with one of the best draft classes of the modern era.
This was great to watch as we again see so many players rising up the draft board in the last 3 weeks because teams are overthinking things instead of simply using the evidence on the field.
Not to mention Kyle Hamilton dropping down the board for reasons of reasons.
The CMC had a tear go down my face
It's crazy that you wait 5 years to make it and still so much has changed. Evan Engram has become a damn good TE, Malik Hooker a really goor starting safety and Howard an objective bust. Njouko has been elite. Crazy
Tbf engram and hooker always had upside just injured and engram had like a dropping problem
Well, Tree, looks like the Jags made a smart move with Engram.
I'm loving the recap of the non first round picks that have come to be good.
Why would any Eagles fan “hate” Derek Barnett? He’s the one who recovered the fumble from Tom Brady at the end of SB52. That’s a moment in history, and Eagles fans remember it.
I am a grown ass man, living a good life and father of 2 successful adult kids and I absolutely love your channel & work. I can only say this for 2 other YT Channels of my 50+ subs. Kudos.
Such an underrated draft 🔥
7:07 Best analogy made by Tree there. I don't see him topping that one very soon. 🎯
With the Niners blowing two first rounders it’s surprising they did so well later one Kittle and Jones were great
Niners love getting studs in the mid-late rounds.
Kittle, Jones, Warner, Deebo, Greenlaw, Jauan, Hufanga, Mitchell, Purdy etc.
7:26 That aged like fine wine.
I was just about to comment that 😭
As a Chiefs fan, I’m grateful we have a generational talent like Mahomes from the this very good draft.
As a Bills fan, I'm happy you gave us like 4 in order to get him
@@JKSSubstandard As a Bills fan myself, I'm a bit upset we allowed them to have him 🤣
Those extra picks were basically just used to trade up to get Josh Allen & Edmunds over the next year anyway. They got a Super Bowl...
@@corey2232 yeah, but if you listen to the reasoning, it shows just how amazing this coaching staff is. They didn't take Mahomes because they were about to rebuild from the ground up and wanted to make sure that the team was ready to actually develop a rookie instead of throwing the rookie in and hoping for the best
@@JKSSubstandard They JUST made the playoffs the year before, they could've easily done the exact same thing with Mahomes & saved the additional draft picks they spent to move up twice in the 2018 draft. That's not a good excuse.
@@corey2232 did you watch the 2017 bills? Because the fact that they made the playoffs was a complete fluke. The offense was held together with string.
I appreciate you making a comment about the saints draft class. Some people forget just how good it was
Oh my lord... all that hype for Chidobe Awuzie...
YESSSS MY FAVORITE SERIES RETURNS
OJ Howard... the premier 1st round draft bust in recent Bucs history
7:23 "I'd say yes, but the Panthers are a complete mess right now so I'd just say free him by means of trade to a relevant franchise."
UTree did got his wish in the end. Not long after UrinatingTree publish this video this season, Christian McCaffrey is traded for early and mid round picks. An injury-prone player on an injury-prone team, what a perfect match in the making.
Now Mahomes has won his 2nd Super Bowl ring in a span on 4 years
8:57 "The New Orleans select" 😄
Revisit the 2017 NHL Draft too. That’s also a very interesting & influential class.
The past recap was awesome. Waited a long time for this!!
Good luck wit QB1 Trubisky Tree. We had him last year and we loved him and got hype whenever he came in the game
Hell yeah! Been waiting all year for this one!
“He [Corey Davis] will have a long career” LOL Nope out of the league before 2023 and same with Fournette
Looking forward to the 2018 Draft revisit!
Would love to see you do similar videos for the NHL draft.
@@sosexyimsexy2567 ratio
2017 NHL draft would be an excellent video. More interesting than the talent at the top (minus Nolan Patrick) is how Vegas’s picks worked out very well… for other teams
@@tehbeernerd that’s a good point, the 2017 draft would be a great one to cover due to the expansion draft, along with the weird talent distribution
You've been killing it with these retrospectives lately, Tree. Captivating stuff.
Hooker has revived his career in Dallas he’s a great player to us
I've been waiting for this video ever since the last revisiting draft video came out
Love your content keep it up MR Yinzer HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS busts galore
I've been waiting for this vid forever!!!!
Glad to look back at another draft my packers blew. At least we got aaron jones
One of my friends has the misfortune of being a Bears fan. We were doing some studying (think it was my third year of college), and I was checking live draft updates. When I saw the trade and selection of Mitch, I just handed him my phone and started giggling like an idiot. I’ll never forget the look of disappointment and disbelief on his face, lol.
This draft was so so so so much better than I remember it being holy fuck
love this series please keep it
You have to know Reuben Foster was next-level bad with his off field behavior when not even the chiefs wanted to rehabilitate him
Love that series.
Trubisky: is declared a bust by Tree
Also Trubisky: is probably Tree's starting QB
I look forward to these every year now
You’re forgetting the most notable accolade: Mitch Trubisky’s NVP
Lmfao
I’ve been WAITIN for this one
Damn. This draft made the Badgers look damned good.
@@arcticphoenix2789 could've beat penn state in the conference title game... as an osu fan i still have no idea why they made the playoff in 2016
I'm here from the future its 2023 and christian mcaffrey has changed the Niners offense and took them to the playoffs. He had mediocre years with the Panthers but let me tell you 2023 is a crazy year for football.
As a Niner fan, I wish we could've kept Kendrick Borne... He was a slightly above average WR, but the vibes were legendary on this dude! I'm glad he's doing well in NE.
Soloman Thomas was a good player, but nobody used him right.
Reuben Foster came out of the draft looking like the second coming of Aldon Smith. And then left the team looking like the second coming of Aldon Smith. (Nick Bosa is the second coming of Aldon Smith, but done the right way...)
Also, The People's Tight End:
GEORGE.
FUCKING.
KITTLE.
I love that dude so much!!
