Very noticeable change in the tones! I like it!
Thank you!!!!!
Thanks for the vid, Im getting mine tomorrow
Great comparison by the way!
Thanks!
That was a fantastic comparison.
thank you, I appreciate that! I'm striving to produce better content every day
Great comparison video. Is this only taking off the rear resonators not the suitcase mid muffler?
Great video with every different way to capture the audio. Everything I would ever look for in an exhaust video, awesome. It sounds great, are you still happy with it? I can’t see myself spending thousands on exhaust but I would do this next week!
Awesome, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I need to do more!
Did you just weld a straight piece back in their place?
Great comparison, good video, so all you did was cut out the resonator, you picked up the good sound on the outside with little increase in the cabin, which saved you some money. I was gonna do black heart hookers, I think I will try this first. thanks for posting.
Yeah, I'm pretty happy with it. I didn't want to go the whole life of the vehicle without doing something to the exhaust
@@thedetailhotlap I hear you, I have been too much into my Harley! I have a 2018 jeep summit Hemi v8 and my buddies said what hell is wrong with the exhaust so that when I found your video, the pipes were looking at $1400 & $600 install. So yours sounds good top gun muffler will cut out and weld in pipes $300 not bad. take care
Should I take out the suitcase muffler and do flowmaster outlaws to a straight pipe out the back? Or just take the suitcase off and leave the stock rear mufflers/resonators… still confused on what the best sound will be
This is kind of hard to answer. If you want loud but cheap I would take out the mid muffler. If you want a subtle change remove the resonators. If you want more of a change of pitch I would change the muffler with an aftermarket one.
GREAT video!!!! Was this the middle resonators or the back two that removed!!! I want to do this ASAP!!!!!!
Thank you! I did the back 2, but now looking at other videos a Mid Muffler might be louder and better sounding. This is more subtle change in tones. It's your vehicle. I was just providing a video of what I did
Great video comparison
Have they just cut the resonator out and welded a straight pipe in?
Great video! Was it expensive/hard? I’m tempted to do this to my 2011. Wonder if I’d sound similar
Not at all, I had a shop do it for me. It should sound pretty similar.
I have a 3.6 so the actual sound is not relevant to me, but that's one hell of a video with all difference scenarios before and after delete. Better than the potato phone images and 10 second clips
thank you!!! I appreciate the input
Nice video, sounds good ! Is that a V6 or V8 ?
5.7L V8
Hi does cutting out the resonator make it slower
Not at all
Very nice. I want one for myself, Is it a gas guzzler?
Awesome! Not entirely! Depends how you drive it
All V8 are guze guzziline.
Enjoy the sound, torque and smiles per gallon. Want mpg get a Dart😁
I have a 2014 with the V6 and noticed the fuel economy improved
Did this with my jeep. It sounds good but just not loud enough lol
Yeah, it’s a subtle upgrade. But if you really want to go all out without sounding straight-piped, I would look into an aftermarket option
Any drone?
No, not really or at all
only when the vehicle is "lagging" when you put your accelerator to the ground and it has to shift 2-3 times.
How much was it?
Just under $200 from the local shop!
I got mines done for 100 bott resonator and muffler but I have a 2007 Chrysler Aspen 5.7 hemi
I did the same thing for my 2018 ecodiesel no sound difference at all
I have the 5.7 hemi. It made a subtle change.
If I were to do it again, I would remove the "suitcase" muffler and leave the resonators!
Why's that? I'm trying to decide which way to go.. Yours sounds nice.
@@liam4422 It's going to sound more "mean" if you take off the muffler. I wanted something subtle, but listening to other videos it makes this thing purrrr without making it sound "straight pipy". But if you want something subtle without changing a whole lot, taking off the resonators is the way to go.
@@thedetailhotlap remove suitcase for xpipe or hpipe ?
@@mistercleaton5951 nope, I took out the stock resonators. I left the suitcase muffler
The middle resonators? Also, do you get drone in the cabin?
Idk about you I had the resonator deleted on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Sport and noticed the gears changing up and down is different
I had no issues
@@thedetailhotlap that's good. I have the single exhaust but it's most notably first gear during acceleration it takes 3 seconds for it to go into second gear mainly because it wants to rev a lil higher then comes 8 gear when slowing down to 50-45mph it doesn't want to downshift to 7 gear and when slowing down come to a complete stop it takes 2 1/2 seconds before it'll go to first gear. When it comes to sport mode switch it to Drive at a complete stop the transmission is weird where when accelerating it revs up to 3,000RPM in every gear before upshifting... I can't determine why it does that
@@thedetailhotlap turned out it was the transmission fluid needed changing
@@chaseboy225 awesome, glad it was a "simple" fix
@@thedetailhotlap Yessirrrr
Even with resonators deleted I couldn’t tell if it was a 6 or 8. I thought cold start idle for sure was a 6.
not too noticeable until you take off the suitcase muffler. It is a 5.7L V8. But taking off the resonators does have some benefits.
Are you fukin deaf??? A 6????? LMAO!!!!!! What 6-banger sounds this deep and growly?!!! Holy crap!
Get rid of the mufflers too
Would love too but it sounds wayyyyyyy to truck like
HAHAHA
