I've just discovered this song and can say that it is definitely the heaviest by GD. Especially the chorus sounds like something I wouldn't expect GD do, but they did.

marlin gaming SOD is crossover thrash, techincally thrash with punk overtones. At the same time there is thrashcore where is essentially hardcore punk with thrash elements. So there was a lot of union between the thrashers and punks. I mean I have Green Day guitar covers on my channel and my username is a slayer referance lol.
