  • Pretty nice restoration of some old kitchen scales. I couldn't find any make, model details sadly. Hopefully another piece saved from the scrap heap, From the old gold, green dodgy paint job, rust, to a nice Ivory paint job, nice and bright . .

It may not be perfect, but lots of work to achieve this. Always wanting to learn skills, techniques, tools etc and learning from mistakes. Squeezing in time from my normal day job, then editing etc. .
A few people have mentioned the weights from my previous video - did they still weigh the same after restoration? I've shown the results at the end of this video. I won't spoil the ending, but sufficed to say, I think i only removed any dirt or oxidisation, which surprised me if i'm honest. .
Thank you all for watching, I appreciate every view, comment and subscriber.
More projects to come. . Your all amazing people . . .

@@CrustyRestorations I really did, I'm a big fan. You're so inspiring! 😊 And... although I'm not experienced in restoring at all, I'd love one very special piece of my family treasure to come back to life again without destroying it. 😊

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a project with so many “pits” that required filling and sanding.

Well done! Obviously very labor intensive, but the result was worth it. Excellent restoration! Regards, Bill.

Can you please tell what kind of paste you use to clean the metal with the brush? Thanks

You are routinely using files that are badly beyond need of restoration themselves. Next project perhaps?
