But in the SONG it literally says "I will never give up the fight!" *It doesn't MATTER* If Sonic wins or loses because he will *Never Give Up.* But SEGA now only wants Sonic to be "Cool" He was cool back then, because he wasn't *TRYING* To be Cool, and he was Cool because he fought for what he believed in when he wasn't sure about the situation. Ryan gave this Energy that showed Sonic can be Cocky, and that's a fact. But he also showed how Sonic could be sad from time to time, and you can clearly see Emi Knew this fact, and made the song better than what it could've been if she just looked at a lyric sheet and just sang it normally. She put her Emotion into it like the Story Board artists did when they tried to make Sonic feel things. TL;DR This song is amazing and shows the feelings Sonic Used to Have.

SA1: the emotional turmoil constantly going on in Sonic's head, knowing he must always be the hero, always be the fastest, always this and always that, and the weight of his responsibility is given much extra emphases by the slower pace of the song, because the theme of the song itself is much more emotional than your average action packed Sonic song. SA2: RADICUL TURBUBLENT 90's FRICCEN ACTION PAKED STUF OR SOMTHIG!!!!!!!1! Oh and emotions or something but HEK FRIKEN YEH I'M SNOC SON, DUH-HUH.
Sonic is very care-free at heart, SA2's Sonic theme focused more on one part of Sonic compared to SA1, which reflects the speed stage gameplay in SA2 compared to every mainline game before it. (EDIT: If it wasn't clear, I do I think it was a good decision, even if I prefer SA1's song.)
Why isn't whenever a single Sonic video is made, people always have to come out and insult every other game in the series? It's fine to have preferences, but it's a bit ridiculous that not even Sonic Adventure fans can agree that both games are good.
