I am loving these knife talks you boys been havin, the show n tell is pretty darn good as well. I thank yall for your time and for those of you who served your country i thank you for that :).
I have the same PM2 in digital camo with black blade as wade. I also have one in all black and an all black manix 2. The DLC coating is very hard wearing. I love knives with coated blades especially when they develop wear. And look at the wear in the same way people see patina on carbon steel blades. Those fighting knives were something else. Another great video Kevin.
I got a Case bowie with sheath awesome story I didnt know the story behind those knives thanks for sharing...also have a Collins made machete my cousin found out in the woods hunting I traded him a vietnam era bannett for a m16
I had a benchmade griptillian I paid $5 for it a few years ago from a pawnshop and eventually sold it for $30. A year later I contacted the boy and offered $40 to get it back and at first he said ok, but changed his mind. I don't blame him. I'll eventually get another one.
I have a 1943 Collins & Co 22” machete. Needs re profiling, cleaned and sharpened. I do everything by hand like my grandfather. It’s gonna take a while but will be worth it
Unsure where your buddy gets his Benchmade and Spyderco knives, but if they don't come from authorized dealers, then I hope he's mindful of counterfeits. They're literally everywhere these days, and some are quite convincing. But there are lots of little details that give them away as fakes. Also, those original Benchmade Puukko and Bailout models had super soft CPM 3V that didn't perform like it should. They fixed it in later runs, I have an aluminum Shot Show Bailout that is a total bruiser. Love watching these get togethers, man.

Excellent selection of knives, and some fine gentlemen. And wow, it's not just everywhere that you can sit down in a coffee shop and pull out blades like that. That 's a blessing on you. Cheers.
This is assume. You boys have some of the best knives. I know that the next auction is going to bring in big money. I can't wait for part 2. Thanks again I got my western Colman knife in the mail yesterday 😊. Be safe and healthy and God Bless America 🇺🇸 🙏
Thanks Howard!! Sorry I missed your call today. Part 2 will be out tomorrow. I had to take care of some things today. It’s scheduled to come out at 9AM in the morning.
Awesome knife talk with friends, I agree with you about having 1095 carbon steel over the super steels, however I do carry a Hogue Deka with Magnacut blade, I like it but I would never know the difference in my everyday cutting situations. Good video.
Sweet knives you got Doc! I have the exact Spyderco Paramillitary two you just got there and I have the same one with a Black blade as well both with the S30V by Crussable.
@@theknifedoctor Plus I bought some after market scales for mine I got the ODE green micarta scales for it it feels and looks great but if you buy the after market scales you better get the lanyard ring removal tool to do it it's a bitch to take apart if you don't their a booger but lol...there is videos showing you how to change them here in youtube!
The Puukko knife was invented and produced by the Finnish people of Finland. You had it pronounced right the first time Kevin poo- koe... puukko For a Finn, the puukko is the most important tool and at the same time the most feared weapon of the Finnish. You could almost say the Puukko has the same importance for a Finn as the samurai sword has for the Japanese. the Puukko is a 2,000 year old mystical weapon that has been used for centuries with the same conviction and dexterity during the time of peace and war!
i will add some info about "puukko". It`s means 'traditional finnish knife" for every non-Finnish person, but it translated from Finnish literally like a 'knife'. Also Finnish nation have another special word - 'leuku'. "Leuku" is another type of traditional Finnish knife. But leuku has a little bit wider, thicker and longer blade than puukko and historically 'leuku'-type of knives are mostly used in a northern regions of Finland which are called "Lapland'. So Benchmade company just use this Finnish words for their knife models - 'puukko' and 'leuku'. Northern type of knives are great for any type of woodworking or bushcraft and people of Scandinavian country use them for centuries in all types of work.
I LOVE your videos, Kevin. I really dig the ones where you guys sit around after your meal and talk knives and the eclectic selections you guys bring. From one veteran to another, thank you for your service. hooyah.
@@theknifedoctor oh ok cs now stands for 1095 carbon steel for case. Chrome vanadium cv supposedly is is 1095 case just changed the name to make it there own. Like surgical steel is a 440c stainless that case labeled there own to be different.
Hey I got a couple questions for you… My uncle left me a German kissing crane knife, it’s a bull moose fixed blade are those worth anything? I don’t want to sell it I’m just curious. Also my brother in law gave me a buck knife that came in a tackle box that he bought somewhere. It’s a buck 302 solitaire with buckmasters etched in the blade. I’ve looked on the internet and haven’t found another one like it… Any idea what that might be worth?
Yeah. Go to Spyderco and under products choose USA made. It shows the models and prices made in the USA. If a veteran, first responder, active military after verification you can get a 40% discount on 10 knives per year.

Love me some Spydercos
this is a cool deal man just be careful as those specific Spyderco(that scale pattern) and Benchmade models are very often cloned
10-4. Not worried about that at all. Wade knows his knives and he gets them through a reputable dealer.
Where do you get your pins to pin your pocket knives with and what size do you order? Thank you
Amazon. I buy a variety pack. Here is the link: amzn.to/4dI8A0p
