1:18 Bit of extra info from side content, Senshi is 36 in this flashback. So older than Chilchuck is now, which is a large part of why he babied Chilchuck so much.
Average dwarf lifespan is 200 years if I recall... so to scale with Tall-man years... I'd say 36 for a dwarf would be teenaged if I did my math correct- for me, that's never a guarantee, lol!
Chilchuk also mentions his behavior reflects one who has little experience with Half foots and their lifespans.

You can read Senshi's journal in some bonus content, and while most days he describes things and takes notes on what he ate, on that day he wrote only "I tried to use Anne to cross the lake. It didn't work."

This was left out verbally but theyve been stealing from the orcs while surviving. The orcs started to notice their supplies going missing and became more vigilant. Hence it came to a point when the group finally starved for weeks.
Marcille needs beauty products but Senshi was literally born with the wind in his hair.

Think about it. How come there are often spots with water fountains and sleeping areas? Why are there many monsters pretending to be treasure or loot? Even consider comparing Laios' group to the others we have seen. Keep that in mind as we keep going forward.
This series is perfect for rewatching/re-reading honestly. It's always building on itself for a rich story and world. Delgal is the "King" that turned to dust in the first episode back when this dungeon opened up to the human settlements. Senshi's behavior and teachings in the early episodes are clearly formed by being taught by the Orcs and the example of his elders. Marcille's clumsiness comes from being from a non-practical academic background. Chilchuk acts like a salty old man cuz he is a Salty old fart (boomer). Much of Laios' knowledge and tactics come from a hunting background like with the Shapeshifter or how he aims straight for the heart with the Hippogriff/Griffin. There's so much that I'm always amazed how much is already alluded to in early parts of the series.
I love how out there the implications of Senshi's backstory are that it took you until Senshi's comment to realize what was troubling him :D Just a sweet, comedic little cooking anime, right?

When the show got announced and we we're sure how long season would be people theorized that the season finale would be senshi's backstory. Imagine if the season ended without senshi getting to taste the soup. The chaos that would have caused lol.
