As a warlord main, don't be afraid to throw them heavies. You'll be surprised how often you land them. You activate armor so early. Sometimes, you can get 2 heavies off Hitokiri and Shugoki you almost always win trades with them

I was playing some centurion yesterday and every time I tried to get an execution off they would hit we out of it after bringing it 2 to 2 and losing cuz I was one shot and the other guy was full health they had the nerve to call me a light spammer for starting my centurion chains with a single light

For characters with small dodges (lb, hito, etcetra) you really have to delay your dodge. Wait until the last possible moment to either dodge attack or bash, depending on the hero. Just takes practice
