A flight deal that was too good to pass up sent us back to one of our favorite regions and countries in the off-season. We've fallen in love with the Balkans, and in particular, Slovenia. We spent Thanksgiving 2019 showing family around Lake Bled and the Julian Alps and lucked into some incredibly clear fall weather.

I agree, it's one of my favourite places and so underrated (which isn't a bad thing) I went in September and the crowds were not to bad. I swam from Bled Island back which was an amazing experience. I love Bled

We love Slovenia and feel like it offers a lot of the best of Europe. Our travel plans are also very up in the air right now. Hopefully, travel will be safe again soon!

yep good choice. in Zima you get the best vanilla cakes. A bit expensive for self service, but good. Also Putin visited that russian chapel not long ago.
