Sorry about your lockdown, hope it doesn't last too long. Look forward to your vlogs.

Thanks Michele. Practical and good advice as always. I smiled at the yards/meters confusion. I'm from UK and we only have yards. Over a period of perhaps 15 years I often travelled to Australia and played with my relatives and I was consistently short despite carefully checking the distance markers. I put it down to jet lag. Then one day I asked my brother-in-law to estimate the distance to the pin on one hole and he told me "110 meters". "Meters?, I said." "Yes, in Australia the distances have been in meters for decades!". No wonder! On the wrong scale for all those years!!! Next time I'm taking a laser rangefinder.

Thanks Michelle, great information today. It sounds like the limited flight range balls tend to impact your distance more on the longer clubs. I was thinking it affected all clubs the same %. Carry distance is the real key and most of us are more in tune with overall distance I think. Thanks for the advice.

Another great video! I've did a rough average of the yardage of my clubs but all in one day at the driving range. I will go back and try to make a note when I do them by group. Also, great idea of doing the wedges as distance control too as I'm trying to improve my approach shot.
I have one question: can the yardage distance from the mats at driving ranges be different from the driving ranges that are on grass? I started going to one that is on grass to help me more during the games and noticed I hit the irons shorter on them.
Thank you for sharing this video!

Lock down. Yikes! Covid spiking in Malaysia? Sorry 😷😫
I knew my yardage very well. Then, I upgraded my irons and took lessons. I am still trying to get the yardage down. I am probably one club different between my old and new clubs unless I really flush it, which can throw doubt into your mind.
With all that said, I was still able to take away several tips as well as good reminders.
Thanks again for the instructional videos. You're teaching method is excellent.

    • @michelelowgolf7501

Just roughly. For example, shoot to something at 100 and 110. So if you ball lands somewhat in the middle will be 105. The more u play the more you will figure out your distance.

This is something that has plagued me throughout my golfing life of the last 30 years. I’ve always eye balled. As a result I’m good at it on my own course but when I play somewhere else I fall short or hit long. I’ve just bought a range finder… you can get cheap ones on Amazon which are probably as good as expensive ones for distance purposes. But haven’t used it thanks to lock down. Hopefully it will help me think numbers! Lefty playing righty. I saw that too!

I use Arccos sensors on my clubs; so I DO have a good idea how far I hit each club. Unfortunately my swing is not as consistent as I would like, this my “Arccos Smart Distance” is somewhat short of what I’d like; AND the range of distances with each club is too broad. That is one of the advantages of Arccos …
First, the sensors TRACK every shot.
Secondly, I can work on shrinking the range of distances with each club over time.
The only thing the sensors don’t take into consideration is: wind and elevation (into the wind my shot falls short, and/or with the wind hit it longer)
I was never really able to learn my club distances on the range, so using sensors and an app like Arccos is highly recommended.
Oh, and I totally agree with you when you say, “Your friend’s distance is NOT yours”.
So no need to look 👀
    “What did HE hit?” 👍🏻
