Congratulations Pilot!!! What a wonderful story. How could anyone not love this? Such a long road for her and what unbelievable travels yet to come. Way to go Dad and Mom! Great job on all your parts! Blue Skys and Tailwinds
I’ve got over 17000 hours flying all over the world as an ex-military and now as a contract airline pilot. I couldn’t help feeling like a kid again watching your first solo. 😎 What a journey Danielle! Congrats to you, your dad and family for those amazing achievements! Just a fellow RV14 admire from Canada 🇨🇦 . 👍
Best aviation video I've seen in a long time. Best feel good video I've seen in a long time. I have to say the ceiling was low but for 3 around the patch with Dad there on her birthday, well....I hope she's flying my United flight some day. Ace's and Tailwinds to you.
Tim...I've been following your web sites since you were about half-way thru the RV-10 build. It was so very cool to watch this video! Best wishes Ray Dietz III
Congratulations Danielle and Dad. What a great lifetime achievement,...and all that by the time you turned 16! Pretty amazing. I'm considering building an RV-10 or a 14. I built a Carbon Cub 3 years ago and love where it's taken me but my first love for a kit was an RV-7 (until someone took me for a low and slow flight in the CC). I have the builders itch again. I'd sure like to see your planes and talk to you about your builds sometime. Are you going to be at Sun N Fun this year (next week)? If so I'll look you up. Fly safe!
Hi, congratulations Danielle. I’ve seen the tradition of cutting the back of a shirt before, we don’t have that tradition here in Australia, what’s the background to it please. Thanks
In old tandem trainers before radios were used, the instructor tugged on the students shirt tail to get their attention. Soloing means you know what you're doing enough to fly on your own so you don't need your shirt tail tugged anymore. A really cool tradition
Wow. Nice kid and airplanes. Great work dad.
Congratulations Pilot!!!

Another one bits the dust ya another one bits the dust ya. GO GIRL GO.
Probably the most interesting and unusual first solo video on UA-cam.
Happy 21st Birthday. Are you celebrating that with your commercial?
Great story. Hotdogging on the first takeoff wasn't a great idea, but other than that...good job!
So cool

Not to be nit-picking, but that aircraft is actually an RV-14A. The RV-14 is a tail dragger.
2 thumbs up
10 TIMES OVER!!
All it takes is money! ....and lots of it, but good for her!
