- My dad and I were on the Incredicoaster at California Adventure in Anaheim when all of the sudden we got stuck towards the end of the ride. We were stuck on the roller coaster for about 20-30 minutes until the crew members came and were able to rescue us.
Just to clear up some misinformation here, no, the ride did not break, no, this wasn't a malfunction. The ride was simply keeping you safe. On rollercoasters a block zone is a section of ride that only one train may occupy at a time. At the end of a block zone there is a method to stop the train, in case the block zone ahead is still occupied. This is the safety system that prevents rollercoaster trains from colliding with one another. Incredicoaster has some of the best operations in the world, running 7 trains, meaning they need at least 8 block sections. You can see the brakes that split up the block sections as the mechanisms to the side of the tracks, and since the train in front of you didn't make it out of the next block section in time, the ride stopped you and all of the other trains to keep you safe.

But if the ride cascaded that badly, to the point where the were trains occupying this one and the 3 block sections (I believe) ahead of this one , the ride would shut down as a safety precaution? So technically, it did break down. Happens all the time on Space Mountain for the same reasons with slow dispatches. They gotta cycle through all the trains to reset the ride at this point. The Audio cutting off also indicates this.
They only do that on the begining point of the ride but u might be right

I was stuck on Thunder Mountain once in the last tunnel and it was summer. It was a good 30 minutes of being in a hot tunnel in the middle of summer. I needed water once we got off the thing.

The brakes are normally active (closed), and you must apply power (in this case, air, a form of fluid power) to RELEASE them. This is the opposite of the brakes in your car. It is done this way to make the brakes more fail-safe (so that if the power goes out, the trains will stop) in order to prevent a collision. It would be quite disastrous if the brakes were normally open because if the power went out two trains would collide.
@@mykyhz it didnt break down its a block zone. Its to keep you safe. There are 7 trains operating and block zones are to keep trains from colling with eachother.
This happends to people alot if you recording They have cameras so they stop if they catch you . For me This happend to me on the chainlift of the ride. At 1:23 It Had a camera So they made the breaks more so you would stop.

This breakdown is a bad thing. The nightmare people was scared of it.😰

You can’t. If it gets stuck upside down, it just drops down and finishes the loop. I know cuz I’ve seen a video of that.

In the description, it says they had to be evacuated... meaning that the next section likely was occupied due to an estop

Not necesarilly maybe just letting the coast go from zero mph up there. Would not give it enough speed to complete the track. I don't know..

So safe that there was a the trains could had collapsed if the train did not stop

No... they would notice immediately. A train getting stopped here will cause them to notice how the ride won’t let them dispatch more trains
