@@CrazyAlienLady051 It was originally an MLP G4 fan-made fighting game. Then Hasbro slapped Mane 6 (heh) with a Cease and Desist for using their characters without authorization. THEN Lauren Faust offered to design all-new characters for the game, the team redid the engine, added some new characters, added more features, and here we are. You can still see how the Fighting Herd characters map to their original MLP characters, especially in their attacks: Oleander = Twilight Sparkle Arizona = Applejack Velvet = Rarity Paprika = Pinkie Pie Pom = Fluttershy Tianhuo = Rainbow Dash
I'm so proud of how this project has come i played the mlp fangame when i was like 4 and now 10 years later i'm now 14 and i can't wait to play this game i been looking foward since 2017
I think you folks might have buried the lede a bit on there being a season pass with 4 characters. I thought maybe that'd get announced at the end of Combo Breaker! Still, Thank GOODNESS I don't have to field any more questions about a console release, Jeez!
Looks awesome. Who's who? I can tell the magic one is Twilight, Sheep is Fluttershy, Cow is Rainbow Dash and big unicorn is Luna/Celestia? But the others?
They're all original characters, but do have much more improved versions of the fighting styles that were originally going to be applied to the Fighting is Magic cast, the one exception being Shanty as FiMag never made it past 6 characters. Arizona is grounded rushdown and lasso grabs, which was originally Applejack. Velvet is keep away and mid-range zoning, which was originally Rarity. Oleander is the all-rounder, which was similar to Twilight, though she didn't have a puppet summon like Ole does. Paprika is weird rushdown, which was originally Pinkie (of course). Pom is a puppet-based summon character, which was intended for Fluttershy, but the old engine couldn't actually do summons. Tianhuo is aerial rushdown, which was intended for Rainbow Dash, though she never actually got finished.
Yeah you're completely right. I've been a big fan of Them's fightin herds since before it was called that and saying i can't play the tribute and don't have a computer im just excited to be able to play it.
I wanted this on Nintendo Switch year ago by the time it cone to Switch I all ready have the game on Steam Deck to play portable on on PC so bad timing to all with Stream Deck.😅
If you're talkin' about the Spring Festival, it is not a new stage, but rather an alternate background for Huoshan. Much like how the other original stages have at least 1 alt (like nighttime Prairie or rainy Dreary Place).
I don't own a series X but I do own the One X. And from my experience third party games especially fighting games seem to run and play far better on my Xbox One X compared to my Nintendo switch. So I can only imagine how much better the game would run on the Series X. I would definitely recommend getting it for the series X.
That's because it USED to be a My Little Pony fighting game called ''Fighting is Magic''. However, due to copyright issues they were forced to remove all traces of MLP and decided to make an original game. The best part is that Lauren Faust, the creator of the original MLP Friendship is Magic, is working on this game's story and character design.
