James, I agree with the the 3.2K people who gave you a thumbs up (01/15/20) and don't understand the 24 who went the other way. Those who paint with light, as you do. bring so much more to their art, elevating the mundane (in this case a car) to something sublime and frankly, delicious in its own way.

I love seeing you paint and explain what you do, because it's enjoyable and also because smoetimes you do soemthing that just looks RIGHT and then you mention it in a word or two why you do it (like the raised values, the warmth of the side mirror etc., next to the flare) and my brain just goes BOOM! Realizing rather obvious visual correlations like this makes me feel stupid, but atleast I'm learning, lol :)

Morning James.... very nice, you'd think the car dealership would barter a lower price on a vehicle for a nice painting by you. It would probably be an investment for them! Another fantastic video James! Thanks so much. Every time I watch one of your videos I get a new idea, learn a new technique or how to solve a problem I've been having. My big takeaway this time around was your grid system. I was just in the woods last night wishing I had something like that. By the time I got to laying down the details with the gouache it was so dark under the forest canopy I could hardly see what I was doing. Wasted too much time sketching.
Going to have to build one of those grids. Thanks again James. Best wishes.

LOL! Still, these “up in the air” Jeep displays seem to be ubiquitous, at dealerships, (at least here in Northern New England) and very dynamic. Some time, he and/ or his viewers might just negotiate to have a different model (if preferred) up on the pedestal. “You don’t *ASK* , you don’t *GET* !!”
