I'm actually amazed how much Marss is into JRPGs.
Little Z’s logic amazes me. Looks at a cat: “PERSONA” and it’s a FF7 character
Tbf, I've come to learn of Cait Sith (as in the FF7 character) thanks to a Kingdom Hearts x Persona 5 fic in which they follow Sora's group and the Phantom Thieves in their adventures. It was actually quite good and had some good plot elements with Namine having loyal Nobodies under her command, the lost Masters, mentions of Oswald and the animaniacs as keyblade master and wielders etc.
Plus the coincidence that Cait Sith also is a Persona in Royal, but under that Puss in boots design.

Turns out to be just English localization, that caused hate for him. Because in just Japanese for the writing of that game, Samus, and I kid you not, was going full on "I don't need no man to tell me what to do" phase. Meanwhile Adam gave her permission, and in fact requested she used the equipment earlier, to avoid stuff such as her nearly boiling alive. Basically he is more or less exactly how he is portrayed, or said to be in Fusion. And not, whatever the English version gave us.

Also Like Like's name come from the phrase "Shield eaters and world leaders have many likes alike"
If I recall info in the Melee trophy, the lore of the name "Like Like" is said to be because of a proverb that goes something like "Shield-Eaters and world leaders have many likes alike." In Japanese, this was "Tate kuu mushi mo sukizuki" (There are even shield-eating bugs, it's a matter of taste.)
This was based on an older Japanese proverb, where the first word is tade (smartweed, or water pepper). The name "Like Like" was simply derived from taking "sukizuki" (matter of taste, or literally a "like-like") and just translating each "suki" into "like."

These videos just prove that I spent too much time in trophy mode, in previous games. I only got full points on Like Like and Stanley because of the Melee trophies.
Calling Marss a nerd for knowing that Walhart is from Fire Emblem Awakening and his class is Conquerer, which can use all three weapons in the triangle is weak. He didn't even mention the game was released on the 3DS in Japan in 2012 and is the boss of 2 chapters and drops a different unique weapon in both, named Sol and Wold Berg respectively and also he has 69 HP on the Hard difficulty. Nice.
I used to be a major causal who loved to collect Spirits, so I surprisingly knew I lot of these.

Don't get me wrong I love Little Z and that whole group of Aussie youtubers but I just forget how young they are lol. Like I remember Little Z and that doing a tier list for "hypest smash character reveals" or something like that and they gave Steve an "easy" S tier but gave Sephiroth like a begrudging A tier and one or two of them said they thought he was Alucard from Castlevania. @@Gohka don't apologize, it has nothing to do with age. People that play smash mostly only play smash, it's a thing I've only noticed with smash specifically. I have plenty of younger cousins that have way more general game knowledge than little z and it's because they don't play just one game like he does. They're gamers so they play everything that looks appealing to them, including older games.

My spiritless fighting experience continues to pay off, as I was once again able to recognize all of the series these spirits came from. I even recognized the Final Fantasy DLC spirit this time.
1) A kid from some Mario game I think. Pretty sure he didn't have an actual name though. [Oh, Coney knew it was Stanley from Donkey Kong 3.]
2) Kid Dracula, one of the Castlevania games but no idea which one. His shadow makes a cameo in the Castlevania stage as well, and mentioned in the overview by Sakurai way back then. [Screw you Panda, spinoff or not it's Castlevania. Coney gets 2 points.]
3) Don't know the name, but obviously from one of the F-Zero games (they all are shown with their racing ships). [Octoman, huh.]
4) Aah... Can't recall his name, but he's the host in Mario Party 8. [MC Ballyhoo, and his pal Big Top. There must be a headcanon that these relate to Cap Kingdom in Odyssey, sentient hats and whatnot.]
5) I think he's from Metroid Other M? [Adam Malkovich from Fusion. Knew it was Metroid though.]
6) Cody, I believe Street Fighter. [Yeah. Apparently introduced in Final Fight, which is a different game though Capcom loves its crossovers.]
7) I believe they're from Final Fantasy. Can't say names though. [That syncronized part by Coney and Marss, dang. Cait Syth.]
8) Lover to the best witch, Luka. [He attended Bayonetta's funeral once.]
9) The thumbnail boi. Freeze Man I think it was? Mega Man. [Oh, Ice Man. I was thinking too clever.]
10) The Shake King. >:3 He shakes people, in possibly the final Wario Land game.
11) One of the infamous Zelda enemies, the Like Like. It can eat your equipment, requiring you to buy another.
12) Pak E. Derm. From Yoshi's Story, you must do a Yoshi Bomb/Ground Pound to knock it over and get past.
13) Pigma of Star Wolf. He betrayed James McCloud for Star Wolf, then they eventually kicked him off the team since he's kinda a douche.
14) Think he's Fire Emblem, no clue for name. [Walhart from Awakening. Good Coney.]
15) Ugh, can't place his name. Xenoblade Chronicles has wacky names though. [Mumkhar. Yeah I wouldn't remember that name.]
16) Oh, that's the Daybreak. Actually an item in Smash 4 and Ultimate, originating from the VS mode in Kid Icarus Uprising. Get all 3 parts, then fire a powerful beam.
17) Name slipped my mind, something like Mr Belch? One of the earlier bosses in Earthbound, and he's a disgusting sewer slime I believe. [Master Belch, yep.]
18) Big Mole or whatever. A boss from Kirby: Squeak Squad. [Moley from Amazing Mirror. Eh, those two games are near-identical in artstyle. Think Squeak Squad was the first time abilities were given multiple attacks, and released after Amazing Mirror.]
19) My name's Mewtwo, come on. I know a Pyukumuku when I see it.
20) The fairy from Mario and Wario, a puzzle game where Mario has a bucket on his head and can't see. [Ah, her name is Wanda of course. I have no idea how I knew the game though.]
My total is 29 points [I'll count my answer with Master Belch as a correct name]. Only series I got wrong was the 1st one, me fighting all the spirits really payed off. And touching other games and whatnot.
Tut Panda. 3:57 That's Adam Malkovich from Metroid Other:M (2010 - Wii). In Metroid Fusion Adam was only the AI that piloted Samus' gunship, he had no physical appearance.

He remembered a lot of characters from games that non many people are familiar with, some of which not available in the US.
