    Thanks for the lesson, it's very educative. But with some observation at cp1 we should be adding the BS to the RL to derive the HI, which you did in application. But in explanation you have told your students to minus, which might b a point of confusion for beginners.

    Why do we prefer height of instrument method during leveling than the rise and fall method?

      Because of simpler calculation, rise and fall becomes little tedious, but it is upto you, you can choose any method

      Thank you so much for appreciating, in your locality there must be permanent benchmark located, start the fly levelling from that point and come to your site and proceed the levelling

    Sir, everything is well-illustrated but I doubt if change point or turning point is the point where the instrument is set. As per my studies, it should be that point where first Foresight is taken from one instrument setting and then foresight is taken from another instrument setting.

    I didnt get it sir, First you said for calculating the HI , we are to use the formula HI=Rl+BS right ? but following your presentation at 18.48 min you say we subtract the RL - the BS how is that?

    siir mera ek quation ki ager cement ka initial setting time 30 minute ka hota hai per ager setting time 30 minute se jyada ho jaye to hum kya kare kya hum ush cement ko use kar sakte hai.

      Initial setting time of almost all cements will be around 120 to 150 mins and that is normal range
