Update on the Rituel de Fille Orb Kohl liner: this product on bare lids with nothing pressed on top of the kohl is nothing short of a makeup nightmare, reminiscent of first generation RMS eye polish in the softened black shade (iykyk). However. In further testing I put shadow down all over the lid (you could also experiment with a primer, I recently like the Alima eye primer; some of the neutral Gressa eye tints would also make great primers) AND pressed black shadow over top (as I did in this video) and it helps *significantly.* It makes the product actually usable. The look from this video lasted hours longer than my first trial runs. Black (or any color) shadow pressed on top of the kohl is more important that priming the lids. It's still not a great product and you can get a similar effect with a black pencil (I like Antonym or Fitglow) and black shadow over top.
I’m not surprised by this... I use their Inner Glow Creme Pigments as cream shadows frequently, and they look natural and gorgeous when first applied, but fade very quickly. I usually have zero problems with cream product wear time. Perhaps RdF products are really just formulated for initial application and not so much for longevity? I love the colors though and I haven’t found a better dupe so I’ll stick with them for now

I think some people have lost all sense of value and purpose. Thanks for always staying authentic and honest to who you are here on YT, because it's RARE. Always appreciate a good Mercedes rant :)) Oh and ditto on Pat McGrath line. Hi Alexandria, thank YOU for your comment. You nailed it - the majority have lost sense of value and purpose. The sad reality that as long as someone's making money then anything goes. Literally. I picked up some Phytosurgence over the summer! Love supporting independent brands. I'll talk about them in my 2022 makeup crit as well. Overall I find the formulas dry and the tones largely too muddy on me but I know they get so much love which is awesome.
Have you ever tried a brow enhancing serum? Green Beauty Trish did a review years ago of one she got in a subscription box. She a had a spot in her brow that she always had to fill in. If I remember right she had hairless spot from something that happened as a teenager--and her brow hair grew back with the use of the product. It worked so well she didn't have to repurchase. I can't remember which box but I don't think she has ever had subscription boxes that weren't "green" beauty oriented on her channel.
I haven't talked to Trish in awhile but I should message and ask her. I've tried so many "hair growth" types of products over the years and they never work on me.

I freaking love you, yes I have such a low tolerance for celebrities as well. I thought the exact same thing about kjaer weis.
such a beautiful classic Mercedes look: ) also I think this top looks great on you and probably is ok for Deep Winters. The nude color of the top is kinda rosey and, at least on screen, is very similar to your skin tone, and the black spots make it a deep contrasting color.
I think it looks good too even though I would think it's too warm but I think you're right, it mimics contrast which is positive for a Deep Winter. I love that you have been watching my vids for so long to easily identify my signature or classic looks!
Btw, I started using Clio Kill Liner recently in Kill Black. I didn’t think I would like a super black felt tip liner, but it definitely is longer lasting and more intense than the previous Japanese liner pen I was using. Highly recommend for a long lasting intense black with a thinner liner tip

Hi Mercedes, this is beautiful, an authentic “Lamour” look! I was very unpleasantly surprised to see a luxury eco brand like Kjaer Weis collaborate with a celebrity, especially a Kardashian. I do not really see the correlation between this brand and this particular individual. In terms of the products, I have initially only tried the cream blush and a highlighter. Although the packaging is beautiful, the products dry out, are not as creamy as I would like, and the color payoff isn’t that great. For a liner and mascara, have you tried the new Plume products? 😍
Interesting observation about the deals lately. I’ve been confused lately by these 20% off deals w credo, or the blue thing w BH, etc. I didn’t even think of how it’s holiday deals in October. Yikes!

I literally choked when you said he has a tincture line. Seriously? I’m definitely not a fan of celeb endorsed selling but I have a visceral hell no reaction to that family. I’ve never been super drawn to KW but I’m repelled now. How does the manasi eyebrow powder work as shadow?

I love the Manasi 7 colors, but the vanilla scent makes me ill. Such a shame, because many of the colors are beautiful and unique
One other person has mentioned the vanilla scent to me (though from a positive angle) and I have to be honest I don't smell it?! Which is so strange because I'm sensitive to scent. I can't stand the fake vanilla scent in Kjaer Weis lip gloss for ex. With (M)anasi 7 I mostly smell plant oil/butter smell.
@@lamouretlamusique good to know, my only experience has been with Beautyhabit samples of several cream shades, but I found them all too strongly scented for me. I can kind of see the purpose of vanilla scent for a lip product, but I got the shades for eye and cheek use so the smell was a huge turn off. Maybe I will get a chance to check out the product in person sometime. Do the powder products have any scent?

and I’m also over kjaer Weis marketing. Shame products are really nice. In my kit I’ve been using clover by clove and hallow liner pots and glisten cosmetics cake liners and are really happy with them.
It's a letdown...though it does wear better with shadow on the lid and black shadow pressed over top. I'm intrigued by Glisten, I'll check them out! Clove and Hollow makes some beautiful color products.
I also hate celebrity style marketing and celebrity collabs. It doesn’t help that I despise 99% of celebrities. I’m very picky about marketing and also packaging.
Yep, yep and yep! My "celebrities" are not those culturally served up for us to idolize.
I get that celebrities use makeup which makes them a easy “partner”. I could tolerate so many partnerships but this is basically the least appealing partner to me. Just a big no for me.
Haha this made me laugh - celebrities "use" makeup. It's true. But so do tons of other women so...who cares even one iota what a "celebrity" has to say about anything really oh right it's been a groomed lauding for us to somehow think these individuals are "better" than "regular" people and therefore their thoughts and opinions more valuable. No thx.
