Towards the end it mentioned these augmented reality features but didnt mention that they were displayed on a heads-up display on the windshield, (which I thought only displayed speed). My experience is with Honda's Sensing system and it represents the first of four or five steps to full autonomous driving.
The volume control for the radio on EVERY vehicle needs to have it's own module. There have been many times where the on-screen display lags for about 5-12 seconds before a volume change is registered. *AHEM* Buick and Audi... Buttons that you have to press multiple times, or hold for a few seconds to change the volume is also an inconvenience. A BIG rotary knob is the best use in the automobile being less distractive. Sorry for being such a volume knob critic!
Namishki901 i couldn’t agree more! I dont want to have to look down and fiddle with the screen to make it work. I also hate lag. Cell phone and computer lag is bad enough but with something that you really need NOW to concentrate... I also like to be able to adjust my a/c by real buttons too
Lennox1492 We can blame safety for this issue. The CAN communication bus on all modern automobiles saves wiring, complication, and weight by using one big ass wire. Since bandwidth is being shared on one, things need to be prioritized. For example, airbags/ABS systems are pretty much reatltime. however this still doesn't excuse volume change latencies! it should be it's own wire, processor, and module. The only disadvantage to this is that other modules on the CAN bus that rely on a "volume" variable to do fancy stuff (For example, lowering the music at a stop at a stop light) just won't have the information. I'm no automotive engineer, but surely something could be worked out. Manufacturers just don't want to put in the Research and Development funds to progress in processing speed. At least that's what it seems on the surface...
I love the new tech cars, but I have some issues. Will self driving cars allow me to go off road such as farm and logging roads like myself and millions do? Why do we need all the extras? Their expensive and have low tech alternatives. I can find my way safely already. I would like the option of paying much less.
I’m sure self driving features will always be an option to enable/disable as desired. You won’t lose your flexibility in being able to manually control your car if you really wanted to. And if you want the option, don’t buy a car that has it. And in the not-so-distant future, when it becomes standard and cheaper on most models, you will still be able to turn it off.
I wonder how it navigate to potholes in traffic jams when it's stuck in and not around them I was down in Texas when they were testing a driverless Prius the same kind of freaked out and pulled alongside the shoulder and put us there long after I was gone came back around and it was still park there and that was like 3 hours later
Hi. Im wondering that how you use these video clips and they do not sue you. Is it considered fair use or you have permission? Im completely confused on copyright policy. Can we use any content in our educational videos?
have you noticed that most cars now have different driving modes? those are added feature buyers do not need but they feature them so manufacturers can charge more. Personally I like to be 100 per cent in-charge when driving a car I don't like the car deciding for me that is how it used to be. Take for example these many modes that come with the AWD system it has mud, sand, normal, etc. etc. why all these crap the car supposed to be computerized and it should sense the road and driving condition. Those things will add to the cost of the car they are selling you tech not just the car.
Do you know, I have greatest car in the world? I was shocked, when I bought it, oooooo man, I never have to spend a penny towards gas, And never worry about batteries. And I took my car to car dealer close to me, I wanted to trade it in. All I got was laugh, as I pull out toy car which I purchased for 5 dollars. It was sports car too. Red and shiny.
3 years later.. I just built a fully autonomous vehicle and rode to starbucks for under $1000.. haha technology is insane these days! forget tesla. Here's the link! @
I hate all infotainment systems, lane departure auto breaking adaptive cruise control crap, remember when cars were simple to fix and just drove you from point a to b without trying to be everything? I do and i miss it.... the more crap there is, the more expensive it is to fix, the more that can go wrong...
Yes. The Audi’s in Europe already have the full functioning Parking Valet where you didn’t even need to be in the car. In the US, they have the Parking Assist (Steers car automatically into parking spaces, but you control the gas/brakes).
Rattles, squeaks, gasoline smell and smoke fumes, very inefficient gas mileage and a/c-heater systems, very inferior brake and suspension systems. Yes the good ol'days of cars that rarely get pass over one hundred thousand miles without major power train repairs or complete overhaul. And not to mention that in the event of a major collision, you old car chances of survival were greater than the occupants nowadays the roles have been reversed by advanced engineering and technology (meaning that your car will be destroyed while your family will have greater chances of survival).
These technical "advances" will fill our cemeteries. Cars are getting WORSE every year. Automobile engineers are greatly overreaching their understanding and rapidly rising to their levels of incompetence.

I dare all car companies to self drive in India!! You master that and you have achieved god level
even cruise control fails it.
Isn’t that the damn truth! Orchestrated Roadway Chaos in action.
@prem ramman You haven´t seen Yaguachi, man that´s on another level...
Auto drivers need lane markings.
Indians: we don't do that here
Even in Pakistan

Does the self driving car know how to park and pull out of a parking space without hitting anyone?
Yes. The Audi’s in Europe already have the full functioning Parking Valet where you didn’t even need to be in the car. In the US, they have the Parking Assist (Steers car automatically into parking spaces, but you control the gas/brakes).

Are they real
In 10 more years or so, people will no longer need a driver licence because all essential skills are in car technology.
