    Today's video is all about creating a weekly kit super easily to cut with your Cricut Explore. We'll be using the Cactus design pack that is featured in the Majestic May Bundle on the Hungry JPEG to create this kit. You can use any digital papers/patterns to do this but the Hungry Jpeg is a great resource to find some of these amazing packs!
    We'll talk about how to easily use patterns in Inkscape to create full boxes and washi tape, how to trace in Inkscape to create an offset, the Print then Cut area of the Cricut Explore, and how to layout your sticker sheet!
    **The Hungry Jpeg sent me these elements to create this video, all opinions are my own. The description section of this video also contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

    Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!! I’ve been wondering if everyone is magical and draws and designs all their stuffs! I’m computer savvy but not “draw my own all the things” savvy. This was exactly the video I was hoping for. Thanks!!

    This video is absolutely amazing. I've been searching high and low for tutorials on how to make sticker kits and yours is by far the easiest to understand! I also love the fact that Inkspace is a free program. Lol I normally use Photoshop and creating stickers with it is very time-consuming and frustrating (in my opinion). So, thank you so much for this! I'm putting some of your videos on my DIY playlist. ^_^

    I think if someone uses the Silhouette Studio under their business edition, the files can be exported. Maybe this wasn't the case when this video was made. Thanks for all of the tips!

    • @MoeHoward516
      @MoeHoward516  4 роки тому +1

      Yay! glad it helped! Yeah you can export them in the silhouette format but what if I get let's say a brother scan and cut and don't want to use my Sil anymore....the brother won't be able to read those files. So that's why I recommend using something else to design in BUT silhouette software is perfectly fine :)

    I am so frustrated with the silhouette software but if you had to choose between the silhouette and cricket based on their software, which on would you choose? I have thought about buying a cricket but I know absolutely nothing about the machine or the design space but from the videos I have watched it looks super user friendly. Thanks for this tutorial, very informative!

    Hi Moe...Thank You so much for your help, your videos are awesome. I have a question and I really need your expert advice. I'm getting ready to open up a planner sticker shop...I would really like to make available stickers for those who use Cricut...I use Silhouette...so I'm really not that knowledgeable about Cricut. My question is ...when I design a sticker sheet for the Cricut software...should I make all pages the 6.75 X 9.25 which is the print and cut area...and if I do that will they be cut ready for the customer? I will be doing all kinds of stickers and I was also wondering if an offset would be needed for the boxes? Thank you Moe...I truly admire your knowledge...and would be forever grateful for any help you could spare! Many Blessings!

      Hey there! So if you have the business edition it allows you to save as a PNG. The best format for Cricut stickers is a PNG. But yes! If you make the whole sticker area 6.75x9.25 then you should be good to advertise as Cricut ready! I plan to do a video soon on using business edition of silhouette to make stickers for Cricut. 🎉

      @@MoeHoward516 Hi there, yes I do have the business edition and I also use the PNG transparent background on my PNG stickers that I offer for free on my website...I have been saving them all on 8.5 X 11 page. I knew that wasn't the correct paper size for the Cricut cut area...I was just providing the transparent background for those who wanted one! Thank you so much...so grateful...will keep my eye out for the Silhouette tutorial! Blessings!

    I'm watching this video for about the 4th time and I heard you say that you would never be able to get your designs out of Cricut or Silhouette if you should decide to switch to another machine in the future. Can't believe I didn't hear that in my previous viewings! Are you aware of the Snipping Tool (included in Windows) to make a PNG image from virtually any program? I don't pretend to be an expert at it but I saw a UA-cam video that demonstrated this action. I've done it a number of times and it totally works! Try it.

      While that is a fine tool and can be super helpful - it's not a high quality way to work with files. If all of a sudden they stop making the cricut and then you can't access your designs any more you won't have them in a format you can edit. It is much easier, for me, to design my files in a software I know will be around for a while OR a software I know the creates files i can open in another software in case inkscape isn't around. The snipping tool is a great trick, but for me it's not a high quality way to work with graphics. :)

    İ hope you will switch to Ubuntu if you use Inkscape, Gimp and Blender 3D. In Ubuntu icons look really amazing than in WIndows :) . I'd taught you Blender if you were here ))
    Btw, Thanks for Video :)
