Do you have to wait longer between coats? The reason why I ask is that I see you spray one direction then backtrack what you had just sprayed. I have always heard 15 minutes between coats. I absolutely love your honesty and your work! I will definitely continue watching your videos. I am seriously thinking about buying a Vevor! What about the Vevors that come with 3 different size nozzles and tips?
You should always wait 10-15 min in between colts when you see me doing is not a second coat it's me just giving a heavier coat sometimes while spring hoods you're going a little faster and you need to slow down or sometimes you go into slow and you need to speed up by me using so many different guns on this channel sometimes I'm used to spring with one particular gun then I'm using a different gun that's actually slower or faster so it's for me and my style. If I was using my Iwata LPH400 which is my favorite gun I would just give one pass and keep moving because that's the gun I'm accustomed to using for the past two decades. And I'm not sure about that Vevor spray gun that comes with the three caps this one I'm using comes with a 1.3 and a 1.7 there's a link in the description if you're interested.
Triggerman. I am amazed, you are magic with that gun. I use a conventional Devilbiss with a 30 tip and if I was spraying as slow with as much paint flowing out of my gun I would have covered that hood with runs.... Is that really the difference between Conventional and HVLP? Thanks again for another GREAT job!
I loved the conventional guns that's when we were really able to lay down some clear, in my opinion there is a big difference, a lot more over spray back then but the flat finishes were easier to achieve.
Triggerman would you recommend this gun for a beginner? I've been painting for a year now, I use a Harbor freight purple gun now but the results are nowhere near the results that you got with that Vevor gun. I know there's a certain skill level you have to have in order to get results like that with a cheaper gun but would you recommend it for a beginner Thank you in advance. Great videos I'm learning a lot from you keep up the good work.
I'd definitely recommend this gun for a beginner, man I'd recommend it for an advanced painter. The gun sprays flawlessly. Yes time behind the trigger will help you to really perfect your skills with the gun, so basically I'm just showing you guys that the gun does have the potential to give you a professional finish. You'll have to keep practicing and the more hours, days, weeks and years you have behind the trigger you'll get the results you want. 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Beautiful job as usual, Trigger. Congratulations on your (first) sponsor. What was in the green spray can that you applied to your spray out panel and the quarter panel/trunk lid when you were checking your color match?
Thank you bro, 🤜🏼🤛🏼 the product is called " Quick Check Gloss Simulator" they have it on Amazon. Spray it all over you spray out card and panel or stays wet for a few minutes. Perfect for checking colors
@thetriggerman954 if you buy 1 buy the cleaning solution that they recommended as it's specifically designed for the ultrasonic parts cleaner, and you will need a small mesh basket to hold the tiny pieces of the spray gun, and I'd use it on their gun that's a video I'd watch. Anyway I'd run some acetone through the dirty gun first like your spraying paint, then toss the metal parts in, I'm not sure if it hurts plastic yet that's my next test. After I'm done with the jeep, so the solution is biodegradable and you dilute it on mine it's a 6 gallon unit and it mixes 5:1 with water, it is supposed to be distilled water I just used the water from my kitchen, and after cleaning rinse with warm soapy water and then air blow dry.
I don't know, I've never used the LVLP spray gun. But I can't see it being any better than this. This is pretty much max performance in my opinion. Paint really can't lay down any flatter than this.
