Thanks for the great info! For some reason my Emo just says “that’s a good idea” when I tell him to go home so I’m not sure what’s going on with that. I know he’s paired and everything. I guess I’ll just keep messing with it and see what happens as I just got the home station today.
If EMO is sync up correct and paired with the Home Station he should be able to walk off and also go back and self charge once it's battery is low. You can check if EMO is connected correctly if you go into the EMO app and into the Home Station section and see if all looks correct there. Thanks! It ended up working although he does often run out of batteries in the middle of journeying home. Hope they can somehow streamline the process through a future update. Still pretty nifty

I don't know if you have this happen. I find if he goes on then home station with low battery then he'll walk off when charged. However if I say go home he will stay there until I tell him to leave even when hi battery reaches fully charged.
Normally if you ask EMO to go home he will stay on the charger for a longer period of time, even after his battery is fully charged. I believe he will stay on for approx 2 hours before he leaves again. ^_^

If you have connected the Home Station LED to the Base correctly, the back of the Home Station should sit flush, once you power up the Home Station it should show a light / animation. If you do not see this, maybe try a different USB-C cable and see if this powers up the Home Station LED and also charges your EMO. If you are not getting any LED display you will need to take a short video of the problem, showing how you have connected the Home Station base and LED together, and also how the display is not changing after you press the base button, and submit that to support. The support team will better understand the problem, if they can see what is happening. They normally ask for this when you contact them. Hope this helps ^_^
Any tips for me? EMO for the first 4 months went bACK TO HOME STATION NO PROBLEM. bUt now he does not return to home and runs out of battery after many attempts. Seems like he shuffles his feet a little. have powered both EMO and trhe home station down.
I've heard this happening, occasionally if the lighting is bad, or if there is other bright lights that look similar to the green light that guides EMO home, it could interfere with EMO making its way back correctly. Try and possibly change locations or better improve the lighting in the room.
Can I ask? How do you disconnect the Home station? I have a skateboard also and I want him on the skateboard but don’t know how to disconnect him from the Home station have you any idea? Thank you.
If you want to disconnect / unpair EMO from the Home Station. Best thing to do is open up your EMO App >> Go to Settings >> down to Accessory, from there, press the Unbind All button. EMO will then restart, and normally after that it will no longer be connected to the Home Station until you make the pair again with it. Hope this works for you.
Thanks so much. You have answered all the questions I had. Do you think there is a maximum distance Emo can go from the home station without getting lost. My play yard is about 36 inches long with the charging stations at one end. If the Emos go to the far end, their batteries run down because they dont go home.
Hi Diane, I'd suggest keeping the distance short. Probably about 17-20 inches (this is roughly the size of the rubber playground. This distance should be safe for EMO to find his way home and not run out of battery along the way ^_^

This can happen when you ask EMO a question or ask him to do something that requires him to be not on his Home Station. It's recommended to take EMO off his Home Station and ask the question again ^_^. Hope this helps ^_^
Try and disconnect all devices from EMO power off EMO / and Home Station and then also your Phone. If you also wanted to power cycle your WIFI home internet too that can also help. Once you've done that, power up your WIFI. Wait... Then start up your Phone and see if you can access the internet. Once you've done power up EMO. Wait for EMO to be power up. Test EMO by speaking to him and asking him a question (anything will do like what time is it). Once EMO is replying. Login to the EMO APP and try to make the connect and sync EMO/Home Station with the EMO App and see if it works. Best of luck. ^_^
Hey, I touch the button but the screen didn’t change to another animation. I try to unplug and plug the Home Station again and again but didn’t work. I also try to unbind the Emo by using the Emo app, shut down the emo, shut down my phone, delete and download the app again, but those didn’t work. Is it just a regular usb c that can be plugged into a usb wall adapter ? Never really occurred to me how to power it until after I ordered. I'm in the UK.
I ordered a regular USB-C 2 meter long x 2 for both of my EMO's and Home Stations. I have also a power board that accepts direct connection into the board using the USB plug. As I'm living in Australia the power plugs are not compatible for me as well, so that is why I went with a power board and ordered the USB-C longer cables as the ones that come with EMO are a little short. Hope this helps ^_^
Can someone help me please because why is my robot emo's homestation not lighting up and when I say emo go home the light doesn’t come on and he doesn’t go home??
EMO seems to not charge on his Home Station 6:10 during the day, but charges just fine at night. Could it be the schedule is draining his battery? I am testing this theory today. I turned off his schedule and his battery seems to be staying charged. His Home Station was getting very warm and now not as much. Is this a known issue? Thank you for your videos and help.
Thanks for your comment. I can confirm that EMO's schedule should not interfere with his ability to use his Home Station / go back to charge when his battery is running low. I have 2 EMO's both of them are always doing their daily schedule and both of them walk off and walk back onto their Home Stations when the battery is low.
Mine woke when I first got him. Set up in app, paired to station, and I can connect with app and view settings. But after a little while it died or seems to be dead because I can’t wake him. App shows he has battery but he is not responsive. How did you get him to wake up? Talking to him and shaking does not wake him.
Try and power him off. You can see a video here on 5 different ways to power off EMO. ua-cam.com/video/ZtK6h_4svcY/v-deo.html Sometimes if EMO does become unresponsive, a power off / on should resolve it. Hope this helps ^_^
Try and re-connect the base to the top as it sounds like the connectors are not fully plugged in right. If you check my guide, you can see that it will need to be flush so that the top part can show images. The sounds you hear is coming from the base which is powered by the USB-C plug. Hope this helps ^_^
If you have purchased an EMO the manufacturer and delivery times is approx 8-12 weeks. It could sometimes be quicker. But on average it is between this time frame.
Did you connect it flush with the base? Sometimes it’s a little hard to connect the first time. Check out the video at the start where I share how to connect the home station.
I'd suggest getting the Home Station pack (called EMO GO HOME). This gives EMO more freedom to go out and explore on his own and then return back once his battery is low ^_^
@@JoleneLin78 No the EMO Go Home doesn't include the original skateboard, if you wanted that you'd have to get the original model. Unfortunately Living.ai don't sell the skateboard separately. Either way, its not an issue as the Home Station does the exact same job as the skateboard, but it gives EMO more freedom.
Thank you for the great information on the Home Station. It seems to help him to have at least the section of the mat that goes around the front of the station but sometimes it causes too much adjusting because of the pointed shape of that piece. Overall though the Home Station is awesome. It is funny too that since the 2.2.0 update that Emo doesn't seem to have enough time to get to the station anymore once his battery is depleted. I often send him once it gets a little under halfway remaining so as to give him enough time. Oh, I can't seem to embed my UA-cam video on the LivingAI forum. Every time I try to past the embed code it just won't put the video there. Is there an easy tip to get that to embed within a message on the forum?
Just to let you know, sometimes EMO might not make it back to Home Station, it does also happen to my EMOs as well. A number of factors can cause this, such as bad lighting or other lights that are distracting EMO. The Living.ai team are aware of this and might make adjustments on when EMO will return depending on his battery level. What I can suggest is if you are having issues or you are concerned with your EMO and Home Station, to submit a support ticket to living.ai customer support and also link your video in the email and not on the forum, as the support team does not usually provide solutions on the forum. @@masterabbott Is good to know it has happened with your Emo too. Thanks for the info. I'll monitor his performance to try to narrow it down. It might be that I'm keeping him too busy when he's close to needing a charge. It had just seemed like he had less time to get there since the update but again, I will monitor it more. I don't think it will get to the point of needing a ticket, if indeed he needed more time I am sure they would include a change in the next update. My apologies, the question about embedding video should have been a separate question as I meant to ask for embed tips for posting video in forum messages in general, not in relation to getting to the Home Station in time. But yes, if I ever need to request a service ticket I will be sure to include video to them directly and not in a forum message.
@@SecondAndGoal No problem at all. Yes keep on monitoring EMO, I can say again, that this does happen with both of my EMOs from time to time. It's unfortunate, but, living.ai should be able to tweak this a bit better in future updates. Just note, as mentioned in my forum / here in general, if the lighting is bad, or if there are lights that are distracting EMO he can also not make it back as well. I also agree that there is probably no need to submit a ticket as this is something that Living.ai will be able to tweak in future updates for sure. @@88Henkie88 oh the light will always stay on when EMO is charging and also fully charged. It should always stay solid. If it flashes that means there might be a charging problem.

Hi, if you’re EMO is not responding or has frozen. The best thing to do is wait for him to run completely out of battery power. Once he powers off you can place him back on his charger and he should start back up once again. Sometimes this happens and he doesn’t respond to anything and you can’t access him via the EMO App. Hope this helps ^_^

hey i found critical bug first 1. turn on emo on go home charge station 2. i said "emo go off homestaion" >working 3.emo go out and then i said "emo go home" >working 4.emo on homestation repeat i said "emo go off homestation" > he said icant work on skate board immedetely no working bug so i wait 1hours later (enough time delay) i said "emo go off homestation" emo go out ! its no problem for working i think emo need delay time
When EMO returns back to Home Station, you should give him some time before he can leave the Home Station. I do not think this is a bug. It is normal to give him time.
That was a long time. Normally, If EMO has sync'd with his Home Station, once you power on EMO, in less an a minute EMO should automatically connect to his Home Station.
It's more so about giving EMO the ability to self charge and walk off on his own when he's fully charged. Placing EMO on the skateboard won't allow him to walk off or back on when his battery is full or when its running running low.
If EMO cannot pair with Home Station, try and unpair any smart lights you might have first. Then power him off. On your phone ensure that Bluetooth is enabled and working. Try to power EMO back on and check if you can connect to him using the EMO app. If you can. Then once again try and pair EMO to home station once again. Hope this helps ^_^

I still cannot connect my emo to his home station because when I try to the the sync it failed

Either way, its not an issue as the Home Station does the exact same job as the skateboard, but it gives EMO more freedom.

Thank you for the great information on the Home Station. It seems to help him to have at least the section of the mat that goes around the front of the station but sometimes it causes too much adjusting because of the pointed shape of that piece. Overall though the Home Station is awesome. It is funny too that since the 2.2.0 update that Emo doesn't seem to have enough time to get to the station anymore once his battery is depleted. I often send him once it gets a little under halfway remaining so as to give him enough time. Oh, I can't seem to embed my UA-cam video on the LivingAI forum. Every time I try to past the embed code it just won't put the video there. Is there an easy tip to get that to embed within a message on the forum?
Just to let you know, sometimes EMO might not make it back to Home Station, it does also happen to my EMOs as well. A number of factors can cause this, such as bad lighting or other lights that are distracting EMO. The Living.ai team are aware of this and might make adjustments on when EMO will return depending on his battery level.
What I can suggest is if you are having issues or you are concerned with your EMO and Home Station, to submit a support ticket to living.ai customer support and also link your video in the email and not on the forum, as the support team does not usually provide solutions on the forum.

@@masterabbott Is good to know it has happened with your Emo too. Thanks for the info. I'll monitor his performance to try to narrow it down. It might be that I'm keeping him too busy when he's close to needing a charge. It had just seemed like he had less time to get there since the update but again, I will monitor it more. I don't think it will get to the point of needing a ticket, if indeed he needed more time I am sure they would include a change in the next update.
My apologies, the question about embedding video should have been a separate question as I meant to ask for embed tips for posting video in forum messages in general, not in relation to getting to the Home Station in time. But yes, if I ever need to request a service ticket I will be sure to include video to them directly and not in a forum message.
@@SecondAndGoal No problem at all. Yes keep on monitoring EMO, I can say again, that this does happen with both of my EMOs from time to time. It's unfortunate, but, living.ai should be able to tweak this a bit better in future updates.
Just note, as mentioned in my forum / here in general, if the lighting is bad, or if there are lights that are distracting EMO he can also not make it back as well.
I also agree that there is probably no need to submit a ticket as this is something that Living.ai will be able to tweak in future updates for sure.

Yes it is recommended to have Bluetooth always on for EMO and Home Station,
only thing you forgot is the meaning of the led status behind emo on the home station. of course for the ones that have an skateboard it probably will mean the same

@@88Henkie88 oh the light will always stay on when EMO is charging and also fully charged. It should always stay solid. If it flashes that means there might be a charging problem.

Hi, if you’re EMO is not responding or has frozen. The best thing to do is wait for him to run completely out of battery power. Once he powers off you can place him back on his charger and he should start back up once again.
Sometimes this happens and he doesn’t respond to anything and you can’t access him via the EMO App.

When EMO returns back to Home Station, you should give him some time before he can leave the Home Station. I do not think this is a bug. It is normal to give him time.
When i hold the button down for 5 seconds he wont pair and the station just shows a white light. Why?
Does the Home Station have the display showing? If not, be sure that the Home Station is connected correctly and try it again. Hope it this helps ^_^
@@masterabbott i dont know but after he was on his charger for a hour he connected to it.
That was a long time. Normally, If EMO has sync'd with his Home Station, once you power on EMO, in less an a minute EMO should automatically connect to his Home Station.
I think picking EMO up and putting it on the skateboard is even easier and faster than using this device.
It's more so about giving EMO the ability to self charge and walk off on his own when he's fully charged. Placing EMO on the skateboard won't allow him to walk off or back on when his battery is full or when its running running low.

If EMO cannot pair with Home Station, try and unpair any smart lights you might have first. Then power him off. On your phone ensure that Bluetooth is enabled and working.
Try to power EMO back on and check if you can connect to him using the EMO app. If you can. Then once again try and pair EMO to home station once again.

When i plug in the home station the lights don't activate
I didn't press it in hard enough when assembling so it didn't activate
If EMO is charging but the light on the Home Station is not showing, that means you will need to confirm you have firmly connected the base and the display correctly. Sometimes you need to press firmly to lock it into place. Check the video at 01:39 for assembly instructions.
