If it's out a shop, a good rule of thumb is check and pop if necessary! 😎 These videos have been a good supplement for my lack of ventures this year. Only been away once, and it was great! Just got myself an Arctic Bag from GoArmy up Kinning Park. Looking forward to trying that out when the weather gets colder. My trusty vango struggles to keep the heat in below 5°C!

Ullapool is a great little village isn’t it. Such a shame about the typical Highlands weather!! It changes so fast. Love the bit of Loch Maree you went too, we were at another end I think as that wasn’t the car park we were in! No idea where abouts we were 🤣 I totally agree you have to take the quiet days to chill and take it in. Totally great advice, I’d add that to anyone visiting here in the Highlands. I love the dinner creations! Love this video and catching up on your nc500 trip

Yeah Ullapool was a nice surprise as I thought it was a wee one road drive through for some reason. Loch maree was so relaxing and it’s one of the few times the bad weather added to the atmosphere. Tbh I’ll be making sure to have a day on day off now on all my trips. Lesson learned lol. Keep the videos coming I’m keeping the ideas 😀

Absolutely loved this vid! I feel very inspired to do the NC500 in my wee Doblo too. You have a cool set up and love the mood lighting when you’re chilling out and editing. Going to watch your NC500 from Day 1 (as this one came up doing a search for Doblo conversions. Thank you for uploading. Can’t wait to see the next instalment. That grill monkey thing looks fab. I take a 12v mini 4-cup rice cooker on my travels for my fluffy-rice-fix. Uses about 12-15% of my Jackery battery but well worth it. I have a smaller ridge monkey but this one just makes bigger meals easier to make with less burners. I would love to cook electric but I haven’t got round to looking at my options yet. A 12v rice cooker sounds like a plan though. I would say the day on day off is a must as I felt a bit burned out from all the driving. It’s easy to miss so much when you feel tired. The phone stand is just a selfie stick from Amazon. I think it was £15 but it’s served me well and really hard wearing. Thanks for checking the video out and hopefully the trip inspired you to go on some doblo trips 😊.
@@RobnDobI’m now based at Applecross campsite in a very basic pod as no fun bedding-down or packing-up in the tail end of Storm Ashley anymore 🤣😩 Inside looks like an upside down boat with a window, cute hobbity door, wooden floor and a foam mattress on the floor. The drive from Gairloch via Loch Maree, Torridon and Shieldaig was just stunning. Having a day off from driving tomorrow as slipped a disc this morning in Gairloch. Very nearly had to boycott last leg of journey and head to A&E somewhere (poss Isle of Skye??) as was in excruciating pain! 😫😩😖After taking painkillers and moving around as much as poss I was determined to complete this road trip. Loch Maree was a beaut. Stopped at Beinn Eighe car park (where you parked up for night). The exposed tree roots by shore are awesome. Seeing your drone footage of that place gave me goosebumps. Next time I’m going to get there early and do the woodland walk 🌳🪵🍂🍁 Just watched your last vid again as will be doing Bealach na Bà on Thursday. Feeling a wee bit sad it’s coming to an end. Thinking of detouring to Isle of Skye before Inverness, and then head to Ben Nevis. All depends on weather 🍁🍂🌊💨🌪️🌈 When will you do it again? I think I may do it in April and clockwise this time or just hang back in west coast and explore Mull etc. Missed out on Mellon Udrigle as weather was foul so would love to do that next time. I love how you bowed down to Dob at the end. I shall be curtsying to Marge soon 😂🚙 When I get back I’m going to line the inside of Marge and sort storage out! It’s an epic road and I felt the same way when I was close to finishing it but I was exhausted as I filmed it all as well as taking it In lol so I’ll defo be back and will probs do it clockwise up the west but I’ll make sure the weathers top notch 😂😂. Just tryna figure out the video format. I think I’m gonna do 2 videos a week. 1 purely music and one a mix of van related. We’ll see how it goes 😂. Yeah Loch Lomond and that way is now free to camp as restrictions are lifted now. It’s normally pay from April to sept. The breakdown video is the one with the AA van on the thumbnail. That was heading towards tongue just after staying the night at dunnet head. You can hear the snap after I hit the pothole. 🤦♂️. When I got back to glasgow the mechanic showed me the top strut had snapped clean. I don’t know how I managed to finish the trip tbh. Some drivers on the road can be idiots and sometimes it’s just easier to relent. At the end of the day as long as it’s safe to do so there’s no rush. That’s good your backs easing up. Im defo having withdrawals from it and need to do it again soon 😂.
