im wondering if your roommate even understood the guy she set u up with was a crazy, when comparing him to herself. All those red flags, she was like, oh i do that too, so it must be fine.
Yeah, and if her family is abusive she probably assumes that’s just how relationships are. Not saying it’s an excuse though, what she did was horrendous. But it’s interesting to think where all that comes from.
pretty bad, I've had a fun string too. First was a long time friend lost his job, got upset my parents wouldn't cover his rent and gave up looking for a new one then punched a hole in our door before moving out. 2nd a friend from work took his place, turns out he was a crack addict who stole my bank account info and car while I was asleep and stole all my money with my ss#. this was early twenties/late teens while working two jobs and full time at school. third was a girl who left a page long note the first day I moved in because I left a shower brush hanging on the caddy in the shower thinking it was communal, then brought it up in a very aggressive way two weeks later "confirming" it was my horrible atrocity. Then wrote multiple times about how I was "coming on to her" to our landlord despite us never really talking, strange stuff like her miss hearing me then me responding "oh don't worry about it happen all the time" *waving the air in a brush off motion* becoming an email the next day about how I was "waving her into my room". 4th was a girl who the first week or two after moving in got upset I washed a few dishes late at night; (I worked nights at the time) I responded by telling her I wouldn't wash them at night anymore. End of story, move on for most people.. From that moment on she never talked or responded to greetings again, slammed her door, constantly locked herself out of the house/her room, left dishes in the sink for over a week multiple times, stole dishware/silverware, attracted a bunch of gnats, blasted music in the bathroom, and would sit infront of the building in her car with the engine running for 2-5 hrs almost every day. 5th wasn't as bad, left his door open with really loud music blasting. had to repetitively ask him to just shut his door. commonly stood in his doorway music blasting playing on his phone. Left little bits of trash behind in the common area often, would use my sponge and leave it wet covered in food sitting in the sink, and as a basic stranger come knocking asking for rides until I had to tell him flat out no I'm not your driver I hardly know you.
