OMG Trinetra is in the Behensplaining. 😍😍 I just love her. Not just because who she is and where she has come in her life, thats secondary. But because how much she has taught me. I didn't know much about LGBTQIA+ community even when I tried not to disrespect the community. But she is the one who taught me how to respect the community, how to raise our voices for them, how not to be a queerphobic because even if you don't want you disrespect directly or indirectly and thats the phase of learning. I know I am still in learning phase but I am still proud that how much changed I am and how much I still try. Thank you Trinetra for being there and make idiots like us to behave. Thank you so much.

I seriously loved this review. I do follow all the behensplaining episodes all are amazing but this wins it for me. Being a member of the LGBTQ+ community the dialogs in the tutorial by Trinetra is all I wanted to say to all the queerphobes I've come across and there were a lot honestly. Thank you for this video. It really helps to build a lot of confidence in us when mainstream UA-cam channels makes positive videos about LGBTQ+ community amongst all the hatred that is spread throughout the platform. You all are AMAZINGG.

@@sankarshanasrinivasan5888 yeah I like A R Rahman but I didn't know there was a Tamil version of all his songs . I thought A R Rahman gave music to Malayalam and telegu songs . That's like brand new information to me 😂. And yeah it does help . Although I heard a song around when I was 4 or 5 I don't know if it is Tamil . I don't know the name of the song but lyrics were some wt like this " apdi podey podey apdi podey " . I don't know if it's Tamil but if it is then maybe that would be my ' one of the favourites in Tamil song ' .
@@Crochetique424 He's from Tamil Nadu, actually. Many of his famous songs, say 'Choti si Aasha/ Yeh Haseen Wadiyan from Roja have Tamizh versions (Chinna Chinna Aasai/Puthu Vellai Mazhai). In fact Roja and Bombay are originally Tamizh films, then dubbed into Hindi. Muqabla also has a Tamizh version. :)

All things set aside vijay setupathi's acting was mind blowing.
An Oscar worthy film.
Having a cis-het man play a trans woman in a movie further perpetuates the message that a trans woman is a man in woman's clothing :// That aside, Super Deluxe is a FABULOUS film wow
But this wasn't like Filmfare award where ranbir and sharukh played dress-up. This was a serious role. The character wasn't some empty, stereotypical portrayal. The character was thoroughly human with all the human flaws. So what does it matter that a cis-het male played a trans character. He did pretty well, imho.
Anyway, in the words of wise Baradwaj Ranjan, we should just enjoy the movie as an experience rather than nitpick these details.
@@ColourMeRed_1990 Oh he did very well, as Srishti and Trinetra themselves acknowledge. But Trinetra (AKA a trans woman herself) feels that they should've cast a trans woman actor. Opinions about trans people that trans people themselves have are the most legitimate.

But you know what, I felt the glass ceiling crack when I saw a mainstream actor like Vijay sethupathi play the role. I hope to see more of such roles with mainstream actor without making a fuss about gender roles in cinema.

@@ColourMeRed_1990 i think it was done on purpose to make it feel normal to those who don't.. When u see a man playing the trans role so perfectly and accepting them one of us and not anyone else. People follows easily. I hope more n more people accept all as us- humans and not keep on dividing it into different sections.. It's a community just bcz we consider them different. I hope 1 day it's just a category in papers or maybe they choose they want to be called a man or woman that's it.

If it wasn't for Vijay Sethupati's star power no one would be interested in the film only. He did a great job in the movie. Its good that stars like him are coming forward to support LGBTQ community

This movie is so good that once I had finished watching it... I just switched off my tv and sat down for 20 mins in aww and thinking of the absolute masterpiece of a movie that I had just watched. I get how Tamil is actually pronounced. I don't get how it's either a "l" or a "zh"
As a South Indian, even I am puzzled by the transliteration. It is more 'r' sounding than 'l' or 'zh'
Because that sound is always translated at zh..
@@kaushikiyer4881 I think this is simply the case of the general lack of roman alphasyllabary to be able to explain south-asian sounds. Even the IPAs are confusing.

There's an easy hack for how to pronounce the 'zh' in Tamizh or mazha , in Tamizh and Malayalam.
I think it should be sort of obvious, if you really think about it.
Pronounce it 'Tamir'; in an exaggerated American accent.
Basically, 'zh' is pronounced how a native English speaker would pronounce the 'r' sound.
