DON'T USE TAP WATER! - 1983 Mercedes 300SD Radiator Replacement - W126 - Cooling System Part 2

After changing hoses, water pump, and thermostat last week, I was still having some cooling issues (but no more leaks). The car had always ran a bit hot (not too hot.. just hot).
Decided to revisit the cooling system and replace the 39 year old radiator. The radiator wasn't leaking or showing any signs of problems but with decades of neglect, it was due. No matter what coolant your engine requires, ALWAYS blend with distilled water. The minerals in tap water will plug the system over time and the use of chemicals to break down the build up will typically cause the radiator or heater core to start leaking.
I will say that 39 years of service from a plastic tank radiator is impressive.
