I don’t understand why you don’t have a bigger following. You are detailed in your instruction with a good quality to your video production. I am a retired Army Mechanic and if your videos were available back-in-the-day I would have made your channel mandatory watching! Keep up the outstanding work.
So I have purchased this an followed this to a T, dotted the i’s! I had the same issue with the strut mounts (drilling out the holes). Same with grinding out the rears so they fit. The rubber isolater for rear as well was an easy fix. Fits perfectly. The fronts on the other hand have proven to seriously PMO! I have the same clicking noice Both top mounting strut assembly where the mushroom washer rests inside on top of the shock, to protect the boot, has been pushed through to the top causing damage to the side wall. The clicking sound when settled mine did the same thing. I strongly suggest replacing all bolts washers and nuts for this whole job so future buyers don’t go through what i did. Main question, What are all the torque specs you used to tighten down the strut and to the strut tower when installed? They ride great just need a little more adjustment. Best of luck to anyone else getting these. Thank you for the video! 🙌🏼
I don't know the exact specs, I just tightened by feel similar to what I've done on other vehicles. One thing that quieted the clunking noise down a little was spraying the underside of the car with Fluid Film for winter. I coated the coilovers really well (because they were already starting to rust!) and the oil must have helped things move easier/more quietly.
it's crazy the amount of modifications needed to install a coilovers "supposedly" for the specific application! and it isn't even a JDM vs USDM problem, but then again, it is an affordable coilovers
he didnt have to, removing the two big bolt on shock and whole hub will swing out enough to remove shock. i believe he removed hub for easy access and because he replaced control arms.
I bought these for my 08 fit front one are great but the ones holy shit they hit so hard had to buy factory ones to go with the max springs in the rear
@@6thGearGarage yea bro like 1 month later the max speeding rod shocks went out on me so I just ordered original shocks with the max speeding rod spring and it drives better going rev9 next year had them on my ep3 and there amazing
I hope so too 😂 my only concern it’s about the bolts ! I hope I don’t have to modify anything! I’ll keep u post ! Thanh’s again ! Greetings from California Robbie
You saw the condition of the rest of the car lol Figured I'd make my winter beater a lil more fun while I already had it apart for wheel bearings and LCA's.

Thanks, I'm happy to be working on my cars and helping others!
Top quality coilovers by maxpeeding rods... if you have a death wish...
Super straight forward install... if you're willin' to chop half of the car...

Yeah, you get what you pay for.
Bro I was just chilling first video I’ve seen of you and out of know where pulls up wheel room got me like wtf 😂 😅 Jeez badass!
Yeah, I kind of have a wheel problem lol
where any of these issues with this kit fixed by maxspeedingrods or do they still need modification to fit on the fit?
I haven’t tried to install any other sets, but I’ve seen other people mention needing to modify them to work as well.
It seems interesting, how much does it cost and where to buy it
There is a link to the kit I used in the description. Thanks for watching!
Sweet another Underrated youtuber.
AutoSubscribe and tons of likes.
Let’s Go. More videos please. 😊
How did u fix the turning noise? it's so annoying
I tried lubing parts, changing preload and ride height, and nothing worked. So now I just turn up the radio.
wait what why do you have to remove the entire assembly
It has to come out to install the coilovers and also some parts need to be transferred over.

I agree after a few days of driving around; these spring rates are too high for this little car.

on a old Jazz MK2?? mind boggles
I wish Honda called them Jazz in the US... so much better than "Fit"
I need a chassis please, if you have spare parts that you don’t need, give them to me
hello, can you give me old spare parts? I have a 2008. I need spare parts.
The original shocks/struts had 170k miles. I scrapped them a long time ago.
@@6thGearGarage what parts do you have i need headlights
enjoy it
Excellent video im gonna install the coilovers in my 2007 Honda Fit this weekend !
Thanks!

@@GalosPolElPaso How did it go??
I’m just started today unfortunately need to stop to modify the holes !
@@GalosPolElPaso I guess all their kits are like that for the Fit then...
that's not worth the money i think, too much parts need to adjust to fit the holes, isn't there coilovers that will fit 100%?
Yeah, I bet more expensive ones would fit better. These were the cheapest option.
Step 1: Don't
Save your money and buy something quality. I bought HKS GT IV HiperMax coilovers for my GD and never looked back.
Yeah, they're cheap for a reason.
Quantity on these coilovers suck! Do not buy! When you have to make a hole bigger on a car part, that's when you know you got the Chinese knock offs!
Note to self: Do not put these coilovers on my car. 🙂
💯
Too much work to put on garbage coilovers lol

Great video with details!
