Hi all - slight correction to make. The reload of the tank was nerfed since the 1.7.1 test server and is now 22 seconds NOT 18. This means the base DpM is 1,800 NOT 2,160. Tanks.gg will hopefully update soon :)

A lot of vehicles in game dont have neutral steering where they cant turn on the spot. You probably never even noticed. Next time you play, look to see if one track is turning or two.

QuickyBaby Stats on tanks gg of this tank are not acurate. It was nerfed some time ago so its doesnt have 2,160 stock Dpm. In garage stats u got 1,983 dpm with full loadout.

The ability to turn in place is called "Neutral Steering" some tanks have it, usually modern and light tanks. The thing is that it can decrease the power applied to turning and if the tank is heavy enough it will sink it in the mud.

Cool review QB, just a recommendation, when you're torn that much about vents/GLD instead of playing both games with vents, do one of each and compare the feel of the tank.

I thought i was crazy when i saw one of these yesterday, and couldn't find info on it, now makes sense
I saw one on NA last night and it seemed to live fairly long into the map. Assuming it was a CC trying it out and had the skills to survive that long.

Gameplay wise it seems more like a hybrid light/medium. Appearance wise, it's a French Frankenstein and it's amazing. Batchat 12t hull with the EBR 105 turret.
"not a damage dealer" ...this is literally a stat padder beast.
"A bush to far" - QB this had me laughing so hard. To relatable in life, also a great reference to a bride to far movie, a must watch, in my eyes.

In the wiki is a stat "pivot: yes/no"
In the US Army we call it Pivot steer
"Turn on itself" QB is referring to the Neutral Steering, it is useful indeed, but it requires a special Transmission which is heavier hence why most light can't Neutral Steer

yeah I saw the same analogy.. you are supposed to zip past someone, while penetrating him twice and then fly off to reload
'turn on itself' is called 'pivot steering'. The final drives need to be well engineered for that. Older tanks would lock a track and turn around it. As drives got more advanced the pivot steer became a feature, both tracks need to move in opposite directions at the same speed.
I believe the term you were looking for is Neutral Steering, the ability for a tracked vehicle to turn in place without requiring forward or reverse momentum. Kind of surprised any tank after about 1924 does not have neutral steering, as the double differential was invented in 1924 in Britain and was widely copied. A double differential meant you could put one track into reverse and the other forward simultaneously, allowing you to spin the vehicle on its own axis. The system was widely copied and improved, so much so that pretty much every modern Western Tracked AFV uses a form of double differential.
10:35 your checkpoint at the back of the tank was exposed to someone in ~E,F 7-8 with good viewrange, probably Scorpion with binos or Progetto

The word your looking for to describe "turning one track one way and the other in the opposite direction" is called - Neutral steering....Put tank into neutral, push T-bar left or right and accelerate.
Surviving with the last 60 hitpoints, gets tracked, repairs his tracks, starts moving, next shot hits the ground where he stood 3 seconds before. QuikyBaby you are the god of RNG. XD
QB, at 12:00 turning on-the-spot is called "neutral steering". The turning by slowing/blocking one track is clutch turning.
Recording video live is more enjoyable than replay. Please do this more.

@@foxygrandpa4873 Yeah, but WZ-132-1 is the heaviest light with a high top speed. Ramming other lights you can bulldoze them for almost their full health bar.

The thing to take away from this is that there is obviously enough material to have had a French medium line from the G1R right through, but WG saved it all to put out premiums.
Wargaming is about to destroy the balance of this game with the upcoming patch entirely and Quickybaby is not even capable to inform us about it. Many well-known WoT streamers have critised the new upcoming patch due to its fun-destroying potential and the way they are going to change established game elements which will be less predictable. More important is that they even appeal to the active community to play the sandbox server and therefore submit as much negative feedback as possible. Quickybaby, now more than ever, the community needs you as a leading WoT expert and your influence in order to stop the implementation of those new mechanics!! Its a *shame* that the most popular WoT youtuber and streamer prefers the Community to stay uninformed in order to prevent widely-spread criticsm among his (paying) community, which could end in a boycott with regards to the severe impact those changes will have even on the biggest paying customer. Why you may ask? It is very simple: the worse the reputation (especially because of youtube reviews) of this game the less new players and thus new potential subscribers will join the WoT community. I am really disappointed Mr. Frampton. I always believed your community is the number 1 priority of all your actions, but even u can be beaten by the power of money.
Um, no. QB has been aware of this and has been calling out WG's bullshit for a while. If you've been watching him on Twitch, you would have noticed when he took a look at the "balance" changes over at the test server and was extremely critical of it. Especially the part where artillery and HE shells became even more stupid than before.
Anyone who still plays this game by now is perfectly aware that WG cannot save their sinking ship of a game, QB stating the obvious about yet another broken half assed attempt at balancing the game is not going to change any of this.
I don't think it's fair to assume QB is doing this to keep us uninformed. There are many reasons he could be not letting us know. Maybe he wants to give it the longest test possible before he formulates his thoughts, maybe he hasn't really even thought about it (he's a human with his own life too), and maybe, just maybe, he likes the changes. Please don't go saying he's a bad person, no one needs to hear that :(

Wg just announced that the majority of the proposed changes won’t go through. They’ve mainly stuck with things the community wants like the low tier hp buff. Shell changes, HE changes, high tier hp, arty, all of those are rolled back.

That drivetrain issue you mentioned is called clutch brake system by my training officer when i did my training my ”tank” didnt have it so we could do a centerturn on a dime (was gunner on a cv9040)

In tank terms that's 'Neutral Steering' when one track goes forward and the other side goes into reverse allowing the tank to spin in place.

A vehicle like this? What's different about the Bourrasque's suspension that it can't turn on the spot like regular tanks?
I know that im late but the being able to turn on the spot is called having "neutral steering" and many of those thanks that cant use neutral steering have a clutch-break system, aka they either stop the power of apply brake to one track to make the vehicle turn
Turning a tank "on the spot" is referred to as a neutral pivot steer. It is such a bad idea, from the tank's standpoint, that many armored commands prohibit it. It is a very effective way to throw a track.
It's called pivot steering. Where the tank pulls a 360 in place. Hope this helps QB.

@10:40 it's known as a ''neutral turn'' not all AFV's are capable of doing this. The first really successful system was the British double differential design of 1924, which was copied by both the United States and Germany.
EVEN 90 in MED form I love the idea of this tank because I love the EVEN 90 and I love the Tier X BC Med tank!
As far as wheeled vehicles go, the wheels need to not have a hitbox aside from module damage when a shell passes through. That and the Germans and Americans should get the Puma, 222, Greyhound, T67 wheeled, etc. At least those aren’t paper tanks.

Angelo Austria yes we could do that in RL but was always told don’t as the strain on the running gear was potentially damaging and rips up the track pads if on roads.
I played World of Tanks with the Bourrasque, and it's GOOD. It should have been classified as a LIGHT tank, because of its size, high mobility and moderate firepower.The only thing I found wrong with it is the very LONG reload. After the two quick shots, it takes forever for it to reload. Don't get me wrong. I will STILL use it for scouting enemy vehicles. Too bad it does NOT stand up against tiers 9 and 10 vehicles. I recommend it.

Don't think gld would be enough plus it's going to dramatically reduce your bad dpm. 21 seconds reload is going to be painful
This is a great platoon Wolf pack tank, play it aggressively while being attentive and you can assassinate pretty much anything very quickly.
I watch most of your videos and I don’t have/play the game. I even subscribed.
The correct equipment loadout imo for this tank would be vents, v-stab, and gun laying drive. Drop the optics and run food have brothers and arms situational awareness and recon and you should have max view range. Since it's a medium and not a light and doesn't get the on the move camo as a light you dont need insane view range to scout.
The "turn-on-the-spot" is properly called "pivot-steer" in the mechanized armor world. At least it was 30 years ago! GG

Having the Lorrain and the Rev I really don't feel the need of getting this tank, specially with the nerf in the reload time. WG did it again, like with the Skoda tier 8 premium tank, when they nerfed the reload time, which is stupid. I'm more tan happy with my progetto and honestly I don't think any other tank is so versatile like the italian tier 8 premium medium tank at tier 8.

really liking the new premium meta of giving them drawbacks...renegade with its cupola, 703 with low dpm and apcr, tl1 lpc with lower dpm and not as good turret.

I hadn't thought before that some tanks use both tracks when turning and some don't. Its quite a nice thing they have thought also to have in the game. But usually you don't have a problem with it. Maybe with lights when you really doing some sketchy scouting in bushes and want turn around.

for me i would not use the vertical stabilizer mk 1 at all i would stay away from it yes it helps you with dispersion on the move and that but i would replace that with gun laying drive to help with that 3.5 aim time witch imop is way to long and WG needs to at least bring it down to 3s aim time but hay then i would go vents and coated optics to help me but this is my opinion in the end also 3 crew members kind of makes this not a crew trainer just and credit maker and something to play but all in all im kinda looking forward to this challenge for something to work towards while im playing

Wow now with the nerf of the DPM this tank seems useless. I was super excited watching this video and was definitely going to buy it, but seriously I dont think it needed a nerf. WG hates lights/lightly armoured meds so much its unreal. Like bad aim time, no amour, pretty good mobility, awful penetration, and now shit DPM??? WTF AT LEAST GIVE IT SOMETHING
