The Acolyte, the latest Star Wars show on Disney+, has just dropped to 17 percent on rotten tomatoes making it the lowest rated Star Wars ever created. Kathleen Kennedy put her faith in The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland and Star Wars and Disney is getting exactly what they deserve for creating TERRIBLE Star Wars. The majority of fans have hit the exit and have no hope left for DISNEY "Star Wars". I literally didn't think the show would be as bad as it is. Like, I've seen Boba Fett and Kenobi, but I thought for sure the expectations were too low.. the FNT crew definitely called this one last year

Watch the original movies, and then watch anything before Disney bought Star Wars. Maybe even watch classic movies from before the turn of the century. Move on. There is no future Star Wars.

Better to be real) Is that the only thing you didn't like about him? It's probably a good indicator that you won't have much in common or agree on a lot of things, and you might as well not waste each other's time and move along.

He had a debit card with Darth Vader on it and I was like “Oh, you’re a Star Wars fan? Me too.” I joked that I was kinda in mourning as a fan because The Acolyte was so terrible, and he was like “What? I loved it? You didn’t like it?” So I told him that the only thing I’ve really enjoyed from Disney in recent years is Andor and the first 2 seasons of Mando, and that Disney has destroyed Star Wars. He said he loves the Acolyte and just thought Andor was “okay”. I was floored by his responses and asked him what he liked about the Acolyte and he said he likes that Disney is trying something “different” and that he liked the mystery of it all. He’s excited about what the finale will reveal. I didn’t really have any interest in discussing it any further with him after that. It was a total turn off because having a partner I can enjoy good films and TV with is actually important to me (though that might sound silly to some). We don’t have to have the same exact taste in tv or film, but liking The Acolyte is where I draw the line. Because it goes beyond taste at that point. I honestly think you’re ret*rded if you like this show. And I don’t want to date a man who is ret*rded. 😩

Earth to Leslye Headland: it's not about you. Even when George Lucas was producing his classic Trilogy, it wasn't about him either. The purpose of Star Wars is to give HOPE to fans that good will always triumph over evil. That philosophy is nowhere to be found in The Acolyte.

if the "critics" had any ethics at all they would not have to constantly backpedal when the actual viewers reject a show, and this happens so often that people go to see movies that the "critics" hate and completely avoid the shows that the "critics" like.

Disney and Kathleen Kennedy can't really be surprised the show is at 17% because the other 83% of Star wars fans have been told we're racist bigots for not liking the direction of the brand these days. They literally now make content just for that 17% percent of the audience and it doesn't take an astro physicist to work out that won't be profitable for their income projections moving forward. The whole business is ran completely back to front from top to bottom and it's bonkers to witness the poor choices they continue to make, from a creative point of view and a functioning business.
