Building Overhead Campervan Lockers - Vanlife Dreams Made Reality: professional build series - Ep 8

This Video shows the making and assembly of our overhead lockers. These are built to fit a lwb crafter or MAN tge. Being 6ft long, they not only need to be constructed well, but also fitted in a manner that gives them strength. Top quality fitting and hardware add to the mix and a make these lockers stand out. They have locking catches, friction stays and a rounded profile to the front.
In the next video I show the fitting and during which i hand my entire weight from the lockers to see how well they hold up.

Very nice job all round, can you give me some idea on the dimensions of the lockers. I know they are 6ft long but what is the height and depth of them please. Also where can I buy the friction arms etc from many thanks Richard.

@@trickydicky6788 the locker stays are 'hafele duo'. They work quite well and are very adjustable.

The locker is approx 250 deep and 280high

The lockers are approx 290x290mm base and front, with the backs scribed to the van sides. There is the plinth on top (15mm) plus the light strip (20mm) before you get to the ceiling. Hope that helps.

We buy Evo Design catches. Most of our other hardware comes from Hafele.
