I would rather say “It’s better to not connect this *particular* antenna on this router”. You should go for Poynting/Netgear/LowCostMobile brands to enhance signal strength installed externally (not under roof, or behind wall). But also it appear you can open the router to install supplementary pigtails on the free internal MHL connectors to use MI-MIMO (4x4 stream instead of 2x2) feature with external antennas : villatieres.blogspot.com/2020/10/routeur-4g-huawei-b818-desassemblage.html?m=1
