Stunning cover. She seems to always deliver cover versions that are more thoughtful, melodic, harmonic, heartfelt, and personal than the original versions. Although she may not be the greatest singer, she's the greatest performer and entertainer in my lifetime. First time seeing her was December 31, 1975, at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Los Angeles. Haven't stopped loving her since.
Bette Midler is indeed one of the few true stars. We recently saw her in Leeds and London, UK. Her energy is commendable. She commands the largest of stages and moves between musical styles and comedy with apparent ease. In my opinion she is at her best with the ballads to which her rich voice brings delightful tones. Her rendition of Waterfalls is on a par with the much loved The Rose.
I saw her sing this live at the Palace in Auburn Hills, MI and I got the chills. She is an absolutely amazing singer! If you have the opportunity to see her in concert, please go!! You will not regret seeing her!
I saw her perform at Hershey for the "Kiss my Brass" tour. Daughter was around 11 years old. I thought, okay, she's in her 60s, she'll be a little calmed down. After the first few "F" words, I gave up trying to plug my daughter's ears. LOL! Bette will be Bette, and her show was awesome, and I was thrilled my daughter was with me to listen and see a real full blown show!
Betsy Keller, lol, yes I can imagine, but Bette is an extremely fantastic entertainer, never get tired of watching her on stage telling jokes & her singing is the most beautiful of any voice I have ever heard.
showguyusa didn’t you read my whole comment replying to the person above i said i don’t think she would ever pop a pill on stage i know it’s something for her singing i’m a singer myself so i would know
