Your yard itself is probably fine unless you use pesticides. There are actually little devices you can get that test conductivity and grounding if you want to know for sure. I’ve never used one but I know you can get them.
Maybe. You're better off digging a shallow hole, like what an animal might dig out quick on a hot day to lie in. You're trying to connect to a current that is obstructed by grass or cement. You want your feet on the "body" of the earth. Research a little more and you'll get a better answer
Such a good review. Thank you How much does sand and gravel, etc get under your feet ie between foot and footbed? that's always been my concern with any kind of open footwear like this.
Good question. I rarely get gravel in the shoes but it does happen, especially if I’m on a dirt trail. Surprisingly it’s not as bad as you might think, but it may also depend on foot shape and how a person walks. It can be a bit annoying but it’s so rare for me that’s it’s not a big deal.

To be honest I have this problem sometimes too. Adjusting the entire lace (not just tightening at the buckle) helps, and I’ve also noticed that my feet change with heat/cold and that can affect fit. Beyond that I’m not sure - I would contact Earth Runners to see what they suggest
What a good idea. I just got a meter and I have a pair of sandals made by attaching an earthrunners strap to a xero shoes sole. Tried them out with an earthing mat. Basically didn't work. I can get a connection only very briefly by moving my foot around and pressing down. Might possibly work better with an earthrunners sole as they're firmer, but the copper was touching the mat, so I doubt it. Fortunately doesn't matter too much to me: this strap and sole together are still a comfortable sandal for me and when I can I'll go fully barefoot.
@@JohnMoseley There is a video i saw of the man in America who created a sizeable business in earthing products who proved his shoes etc worked using a volt meter, thats why i am guessing he was successful.
@@RenewalFitCoach No, there's a copper plug. The plug's attached to the earthrunner strap, which I use with the Xero shoes sole. And the mat is grounded: the meter shows that if I step on it with bare feet. But I don't know. Maybe somehow the strap would work better with an earthrunner sole. I'd say, get one of the meters yourself. They're cheap and easy to use and I think it's probably a good idea to have one to test any product that claims to ground you.

Hey is your discount code still active? I've tried entering it on the website a few times and nothing is displaying for me. Let me know if I need to do anything different. Thank you!
These look like great sandals. The only hesitation I have is that copper tab on the bottom. I don't believe in that "grounding" theory. It's definitely not a scientific concept. Is there any way you can take off that copper tab and replace it w/ something else? If not, does that copper influence the grip? i.e., does it make you slip sometimes, like when you're walking on the street or even off road on large rocks?
I copper part is attached to the laces. I would think it could be removed but I think it holds the laces in place. You’d have to ask Earth Runners. It’s never caused slipping for me and you don’t feel it at all. There is research and science behind grounding but it’s not as studied and scientifically backed as more modern medicine concepts. It seems to hugely benefit some people and not work so well for others. But if you just like the sandals you can leave the plug and probably won’t notice it. I honestly wear them more for the comfort and flexibility than any grounding benefits. I don’t notice drastic benefits form the copper.
@@RenewalFitCoach I did several times. Oh well. I bought the sandals anyway without a discount; bought the extra insurance for theft protection and paid for priority shipping. It came to over $100. I hope the earthing feature works. I bought Espadrills, (sp) from Spain, that have straw soles for "earthing/grounding" purposes also. It is so sad that other than leather soles (which come from a slaughtered horse) they don't make more shoes in a natural material without rubber or plastic soles.

Like most products I’m sure they’re marked up like crazy from what they actually cost to make. But I think they do all of the laces by hand and the quality of the sandals and laces are actually really good. Not typical cheap flip flop or sandal kind of material
Vibram soles, stainless steel threaded laces, hand made in the USA, and as a small business, the price is well justified. Of course they would seem expensive if you’re used to paying for cheap sandals made by a big corporation in china
I love the sandals and agree with your points except for the bit about grounding, it's wild that people actually believe this, but it's completely misinformation
What makes you say it’s misinformation? It’s indeed true that the earth’s natural electrical charge affects and balances the electrical charge of our own bodies, through direct contact with the electrons of earth’s surface. Exposing our body to the electromagnetic Schumann resonance (grounding) has been shown to have many benefits, such as realigning our circadian rhythm, regulating cortisol levels, improving sleep quality and reducing stress, supporting the immune system’s function, and lowering blood pressure and heart rate. Conductive organic materials like copper and stainless steel allow us to create this link and maintain our essential connection with nature-which includes us.
How come no one ever talks about how uncomfortable and painful they are to wear? Seriously, they’re like medieval torture devices. Can we be honest here?
I think I mentioned that some people take a while to wear them in. I have honestly had very few days where any of mine bothered my feet and if I did it was from wearing them for miles and miles. 95% of the time I find them super comfortable. But I can see how they could hurt people’s feet, too. no shoe is for everyone unfortunately 🤷🏼♀️

That's too bad. You might check out Grounded.com for other grounding shoes. I've never tried other brands but there are some out there that make other styles, they just may not all offer the same barefoot style for healthy feet.
Hey is your discount code still active? I've tried entering it on the website a few times and nothing is displaying for me. Let me know if I need to do anything different. Thank you!
I just tried and it only works if you do it in all caps. Try that?
Thank you
thx
Don’t the laces get cut or damaged as they loop and touch the ground
Surprisingly, no. Mine are a little scuffed as to be expected, but still holding up really strong
You can ground on concrete. Not asphalt. So there are lots of places in the city
That is true….but kinda gross to walk on city concrete barefoot
@@RenewalFitCoach ours are pretty good but the sandals are
nice when you don’t want to barefoot.
Grounding is definitely a scientific concept.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
wow
Que. Vellos
Your discount code no longer works.
Try it in all caps.
@@emilybh6255 Thanks for letting me know. I’ll look into it
@@emilybh6255 ok, so, this is weird but I just tried it in lower caps with a capital R and it worked. Last time someone told me it didn’t work I could only get it to work in all caps. Strange! You might be able to cancel and reorder to contact them and see if they’ll apply the code still 🤷🏼♀️
😊😅
They look like they cost $1.00 to make.
Like most products I’m sure they’re marked up like crazy from what they actually cost to make. But I think they do all of the laces by hand and the quality of the sandals and laces are actually really good. Not typical cheap flip flop or sandal kind of material
@@RenewalFitCoachthey use vibram soles. Good quality
@@RenewalFitCoach the pain is so extreme I don’t want to wear them long enough to break them in. I’ve tried every possible adjustment. Talked to customer service for 45 minutes and they walked me thru adjusting them. I don’t understand how anyone could say they are comfortable yet all I see is positive reviews. I really don’t get it. I can’t possibly be the only one having this experience. Anyone?
@@SitaRama-r4r If customer service already helped you adjust them then I’m not sure. But I believe they take returns. If others are reading your comment, maybe you can specify what’s hurting to get better feedback.
@@RenewalFitCoach i already sent them back. I hope they return my money. Thanks
Grounding sandals 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hahaha you're nuts.
Please refrain from saying "these ones."
Life is short….don’t be rude!
Please refrain from being rude.
I haven’t ever found it inconvenient to have someone impart their knowledge to me and others for our common benefit, why are you here? To learn something possibly? Please be kinder, it is your choice…
Agreed - but not sure if your intent was rude or not.
“These ones” isn’t helpful for those who cannot clearly see the content of the video. Using clear and explicit language is helpful for those with vision issues.
But, important to SAY that when making comments like this if it was your intent. Otherwise, people think you’re just being rude and critical about her word choices
Please feel free to create your own video and use the manner of speech that you personally approve of. Rude.
Thanks for the info! 😃👍🏻🩴🩴👊🏻
while footwear is total subjective i'll stick with olukai flip flops !
You can run, sprint, do atheltics in an earth runner as the are strapped on... My brother is a sheriff deputy and they give innmates Crocks so they are less mobile and has seen them hurt themselves.
@@FredoFreedom i agree. i recently switch to Bedrocks and love them. but i still dont think i'll hike in them.
