The clarity is amazing. I just purchased the same camera and received it today. The 720p 60fps looks amazing on UA-cam. I'm not impressed with the 1080p on here. Nice video. I had no problems uploading as is to UA-cam without converting the file from .mov and it was fairly quick, too. I'm also considering buying Magix 12.
This is awesome when is this event I’ve never seen one of these and I love our history of our founding fathers and how we became free.. if someone can let me know when they do this I would love to see this event!!
What year's re-enactment is this? Is it today's, April 19, 2009? Or an earlier year? I don't see any indication of the year. And, did you get any film of Lexington?
@@captainamerica6525 / Beg to differ...we could fight and win the second and last Revolutionary War...too bad, so sad this time we the people have been too dumbed down with drugs and propaganda we can't even organize a turkey shoot against our "British Lords" !!!
@Forlornhope61 Blame the National Park Service. They heavily regulate every reenacment that happens in a national park, and they usually wind up hurting the experience. They pretty much screwed up battle road in the same way.
Pardon the tardy reply but each line regiment of infantry had a company of light infantry who did the skirmishing and who wore those caps and had shorter coat tails and a grenadier company of taller men who wore the tall mitre caps which got less in the way when throwing a grenade than a brimmed hat. They were called the flanking companies as on parade they were on either side of the main body of troops, who were called hat men, as they wore the conventional tricorn hats. It is my understanding that the troops on this expedition were not from a single regiment but were composed of a number of companies, mostly light companies, from different regiments as they were going to move quickly. That would explain the different coloured 'facings' - cuffs, colours and lapels,- on the British uniforms, in these re-enactments as each regiment had its own facing colour which matched that of the regimental colour's the large flag of each regiment which could be used to identify each regiment on the battle field. Each regiment also carried the Kings colours, the British union flag.Or maybe there were just different re-enactor groups present with different regimental unifoms.

Do you mean the British...from whom we learned all our ideas of rights and liberties? If not for Great Britain...not yet the U.K. at that time..there would be no United States of America. We may not always admit it, but we have a parent...our mother..now called the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland..
Good re-enactment, but this trend of Civil War and Rev. War reenactors not being allowed to draw ramrods is ridiculous. Obviously it makes a modicum of sense, but they should at least make the motion with their hand; only loading the pan and then doing nothing just looks wrong. They're not using breech-loaders dammit.
Re-enactorsgenerally aren't allowed to carry their ram-rodsontoPark Service lands. Evidentlythe North/Souuth Skirmish association scared the beJesus out of the park Rangersby firing blanks with the ramrods srtillin the barrel, resultinginthe flying pin-wheelsof death flyinthrough the air looking for soft tissue embed themselves in.Swords are legal. Although some states have a maximum permitted lengthen knives, federal rules apply federal grounds.
To add fire power too the line, the funny thing is when Washington took command of the American Army he order the officers not carry a musket, they could carry a sword maybe a pistol but that was it, as he believed the line officers had to munch to wary about then adding fire power
About as close a "re-enactment"as Concord usually gets. The rea thing was a very skirmish with four small (about40men)light infantry companies formed in a column of companies linen the north end of the bridge facing some 800 Mass militia road column bearing down on them at an oblique angle. The L.I.of the10th regiment of fotfired a volleying the head the colonial column, killing the Captain the Acton Companyand wounding their musicians and color-ester. The men in the column behind them had to take a step to the right to get a clear shot at the red coats, but after a fast shuffle nearly 800 musket fired into the 10th l.I.as they were trying to file aroundtothe rear of the British formation. The British troops broke and fled across the bridget to the shelter of a stone wall from which they eventually fell back to Colonel Smit, Major Pitcairn and the only remaining reservd a single company of grenadiesThere matters remained until col. Smith ordered a retreat back to Boston, matters gingersnap well until the rear-most company fired on the rebels"who following what they thought was too close distance. Thereafter all hell broke closedown the road to Lexingtonwhere they met Percy's relief column. All march together back through Arlington and finally into Charlestown a few minutes before some30,000 Eorcester County militia arrived!
well first i think that it was someone who did not live outside of lexington in other words a outsider who fire that shot and i think he even try to join up with capt parker who turn down his offer but stay around until the british came into Lexington and when he saw that not one man on the Green would shot at the British i think he did but he was out of range and hit not one british soldier but then thinking they were bring fire upon the British open fire,
DAMN!!! well I sure as hell wouldn't expect .69-.72 caliber roundball muskets to sound anything less than piss your pants intimidating with deadly nastyness!

I hope there were reenactments here in greece too...I would go well when I would be a bit older this seems awesome
the talking makes me happy :)
That's what I was wondering about a Civil War reenactment lol. Most of the troops back during that time was in great physical shape.
My wife's ancestor Minuteman Abner Hosmer was killed alongside Captain Isaac Davis and James Hayward at this battle...
We owe them a debt that can never be repaid.

Doubtful that the militiamen and soldiers back then were as well fed as these reenactors !!!
Did the real battle also have a narrator? If so, that must have seemed odd. :)

sometimes they used to be allowed but their were too many accidents where the ramrod wasn't replaced and was shot like a projectile
it's the civil war re-enactors who tend to have the spectacular accidents.

I’d rather not put my hand in front of the barrel that can discharge if there’s a tiny ember close to the charge
Why are the officers carrying muskets?

I am no expert but why on the first day of the revolution would the rebel officer already have a sword and the drum
Because they militias have been preparing for a VERY long Time. And most likely he was a officer of the French and Indian war and thats his saber
@@Bountyhopper Dude I am sorry. I don’t even remember commenting this and I don’t know what I was thinking at the time. You’re right.
April 19, not 18.

oof, back when they lacked grenadiers

I think they need to work on their formation as well before they do a reenactment ;) lol
I think I saw that cop march in time to the drums
those soldiers are a bit pudgy
It was April 19 1775 not April18
corrected the description thank you.
read General William Heath autobiography he was America a first general it was not George Washington
Well he got a trolley stop named for him. He has nothing to carp about!
to this very day no one knows who fire the shot on Lexington green but i may have a very good idea to who may had fire that shot on April 19 1775,
george kenney who? :-)

did you read my reply on who i think fire that shot on Lexington Green,
george kenney The shot came from the grassy knoll
george kenney Was merica, no doubt.
at 12 seconds the guy walking just blimps off screen like a hologram
the problem is on federal land they want a pc battle-don't aim at the other side in a battle.

Because the real soldiers and sailors are in their nations military.
My father did re-enactments for years in the 80's. We live in MA. This is a disgrace, the british aren't even using flint lock muskets,
There flintlocks you see them light as day, there’s one who had a ‘flash in the pan’
Everyone has a flint lock in this video, no one’s allowed to use anything else

No, they think the 2nd amendment was meant only for these types of arms even today.
