- Staccato 2011 pistols are used by competitors and law enforcement throughout the country and for good reason. Can you really "air rake" a Staccato pistol? Today my son and I shoot a Model P, one of the finest pistols available on the planet.
Hey all this is Phil. Thanks for watching our video. For the record...no. I'm not Amish. LOL. My model P is marked Georgetown TX on the bottom of the frame. I didn't have to take out a second mortgage. 😂 It was actually a birthday gift from my wife. Thanks! Hope to see you all again soon.
great video.. you should be in more videos and have a friendly competition with your brother :)
You married well.👍
@davenorman1073 thank you Dave. I think so too!
Hello, Phil. Birthday gift, eh? Lucky man! Cheers!
I Always enjoy seeing your family spending quality time with dad. You can tell both your sons are very experienced shooters taught by a proficient. Great job mixup.
Thank you Robert. Phil is at an AK-47 competition match this morning and I expect him to do very well. I taught both my sons how to shoot at an early age and they are both very proficient, and I'm very proud of them. Thanks again and I always enjoy reading your comments.
That air rack was impressive. Never seen that before. Great shooting as usual.
I had never heard of it before either until Phil told me about it while shooting this video. I tried it a few times and was really surprised that it really did work. It is a testament to the smooth and light action of this fine pistol.
That can only be done on pistols that cost $4,000 plus! Don't try that with a HiPoint.
@@wapiti3750 👍😁
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, as we've seen.
Respect! 👍🏻
Much appreciated, th.burggraf7814 !!!
Nice video... Think is the first time we have seen your oldest son
I am hoping to have Phil in many more videos....stay tuned! 👍😎 👍😎
Glad you were able to Air Rack the Staccato, you were representing all of us "experienced" guys, lol. Nice shooting by both of you, Phil definitely holds his own. It would be great to see Phil in more videos. Maybe you, Phil and Ed in a friendly game of H.O.R.S.E. or Who's walking home?
Phil is definitely going to be in more of my videos if he can find the time. And yes, the three of us will also try to be in the same video, although Ed and Phil have different days off. I just hope I'm the one not walking home 😁
@@mixup98
Don't forget, us Dads still hold a little "aura" over our kids..... most of the time, lol. At least I hope so. I'm sticking with the old man but you all together will be a real treat. Stay safe my friend. Oh yeah, get to practicing ......
That's a smooth gun. It must be awesome having a family full of shooters.
👍🤠 👍😎 👍😎
Damn, that's not only a good gun, but its owner takes very good care of it. Definitely an investment in steel!
LOVE YOUR BLOOPERS , NICE TO MEET ANOTHER MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY
Thank you! 🤠😎😁
Darn, your acorns didn't fall far from the tree. ☺ He's a great shot just like his old man! (and younger brother too!)..... That's a great gun; not surprised it came from Texas!
Thank you Andrew....you just made my day!
Nice gun, like watching your videos what makes them great is the fact that you show the bloopers which makes it entertaining
I have an whole file of video bloopers and maybe someday I will put together a blooper video and post it here on youtube.........maybe. 👍😁
@@mixup98 cool
Never had a gun that I could air rack before. Good to see your other son , and he's also a great shot and a cool gun . Always enjoy watching your videos and your family shooting together.
I guess you had to balance all of those pawn shop finds with a super premium gun. Nice. And the Staccato website actually shows them being in Florence which is between Austin and Killeen. Great to see Phil! Now you need to get all of your kids in a vid! Thanks for another great vid!
They just built a new factory and moved out to Florence in 2023. They were in Georgetown for many years before that.
Always look forward to these. Next best thing to being at the range.
Great video guy's. It was very cool seeing Phil . I'm glad you guy's got to spend some time together. Thanks again.
Hello Hank....good to hear from you and I hope you are doing well. Stay close to your phone as I will give you a call in the near future.
That air raking technique was pretty cool. I wonder how long until Hollywood incorporates that into some action movie? As usual, I enjoy your videos. I have to say, your boys are always so polite. That comes from good parenting.
I believe Keanu Reeves used the air racking technique in a few of his John Wick movies. If not, maybe I can teach Keanu how to do it! 😁😁
Yeah, the story is that Keneau actually showed the move to his stunt/firearms coordinator after practicing the move (in between movies) and kind of blew their minds.
I look forward to every one of your videos thanks!
I appreciate that! Have a great weekend.
"We'll give it the ole community college try" 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 Thanks Mixup so great to see you having a good time with your sons. Much respect, from New Zealand .
Hello Jack. My son and I had a blast making this video and we thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on it. Much respect to you from the United States.
thank you Dad and son.. Your sons are very well brought up sir and you should be proud of them.. Great shooters as well like Dad..
Hello jimsig. I am very proud of my boys, and my daughter and I thank you for the nice comment. 😎😎😎👧
Great video as always. Love Phil's shirt. You have a wonderful family.
Thank you Paul. I also love Phil's shirt and I just might order a few of them.
Phil is working most of the time, yes, but that enables him to buy jewels like this!
Really like the one-hand slide rack! That was a new one for me.
Nice to spend time with ur boys , I try my best to do so as often as I can ! There’s nothing better in life
So true!
Nice demo of a great-looking piece of hardware. Good shooting by both of you! Cheers.
We had fun making this video and we thank you for taking the time to watch it 👍😎 👍😎
Awesome video nice gun Awesome to meet Phil thanks for sharing mixup98 and son
Gotta say great shooting for someone new to the camera. 50yrds minute of shaving cream can, speaks nicely of shooter and weapon. Thank you both for posting. And Phil don't be a stranger to the channel, your pa needs quality challengers. Grins.
I am hoping to have Phil in more of my videos, which should be a lot of fun. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Awesome handgun, crazy high price. Shoots like a laser beam though. Great video as usual mixup!
Thank you Ted !!
Nice pistol Phil. Thanks for the video. 😀🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great video!
Man! Your kids are crazy good shooters, and real nice people too! You did good Mixup!
Another great video, love the looks of that pistol, thanks for sharing
Very enjoyable video and nice to meet Phil.
Keep up the good work my friend.
Thanks, will do!
I have watched your site for years--I don't post much---but this gun is something else, very very nice pistol !!!! ENJOYED ALL OF YOUR FILMS---Plus you seem like a very nice person ! YOUR SON AND I HAVE THE SAME FIRST NAME--PHIL is a darn good shooter--like his dad!!
Hello Phil. It is good to hear from you and I thank you for the nice comment. We would love to hear from you more often but I fully understand if we don't. Have a great day and Phil says "hi".
Thak you for the reply--I will try to watch your films more often !@@mixup98
I've seen other peoples videos of them air racking Staccato's, but your's is the only one I've seen replayed in slow motion. I really thought they had removed the recoil spring, but now I know it's for real. Wow!
Air racking is real and I'm glad my video was able to prove it. Thanks for the great comment.
Thanks guys. I always enjoy your videos. Nice to see your older son. Very nice pistol too.
Love the firearms but the best part of this channel is seeing a father and his sons spending quality time together building wonderful memories.
Oh, by the way, hello Phil, nice to make your acquaintance! Sweet gun! Great taste and nice shootin’. Warm regards from Malta, Europe!
*COOL!*
*Good Memories.*
💥💥💥💥👍
Bad ass gun! I have the standard P without the comp. Your son has great taste I wonder where he got that from? 😀
Good looking gun. Have a great week guys.
You too Mike....thank you!
Good morning MixUp98 and son!
Good morning pauliewalnuts. Thanks for watching our video and we hope you have a safe and great weekend.
That is a nice gun. Thanks for showing it!
Only bad thing about buying a Staccato 2011 is you have no more excuses. With good ammo misses are all on you. Great reliability too since they took company in new direction. Old STI were incredible competition handguns but not reliable for personal protection or law enforcement. Since changing to Staccato emphasis is 100% reliability and they’ve done amazing job.
Eagle Eye Phil runs in the family!!!!! Yes he had a great instructor!!! DAD!!!!! I would love to see Phil and Ed compete once on the range... Of course with Mixup98 Also....... That would make a great video.......
Hello Mike. Thank you for the nice compliment. Ed and Phil work full time and have different days off but I'm hoping that the three of us can get together for a video, which will be a lot of fun.
Great Video! And you must be very proud that both of your sons are marksmen just like their old man ! That 50 yard shot was very impressive! I’m gonna have to try it .
!
Man, that slide moves like it’s on bearings! Pricey, but definitely nice.
Welcome to the party Phil
How about a shooting competition between you, Ed, & Phil? Second place has to clean up the site & all the guns used, third place gets to spend a full day helping Jess with the horses. First place can...do pretty much what he wants.
Since I do all the video editing I am pretty sure that I would take first place 😁 Seriously, that would be a fun video and we will see what happens. Ed and Phil work full time and they have different days off but maybe we can make it happen.
@@mixup98I wasn't being serious, but it sure would be fun to watch! H
I am curious to how y'all would score moving two steels with one shot 😮.
Both those boys and daughter are very good nice job good video
Nice pistol, not picture, glad you shot barbersol, that always gave me a headache. Thanks
Great shooting, I enjoyed this video thanks for sharing!!👍🏼😊
Looks like that Prodigy mag runs pretty good through it. I have a prodigy and was told to get Staccato mags lol. I live where the Staccato is made.
Great channel! Always fun to watch your vids
I appreciate that! Have a great weekend.
Mixup!! Well done on the air rack!!!🤠👏🏻👏🏻love it! Well that young man can shoot! Oh yeah
Phil and I thank you for the compliments 👍🤠 👍😎
Air rack, eh? New one on me. Impressive! Great video guys.
Thanks! 👍
Very cool video. Phil appears to be a chip off the old block and an excellent shooter. Nice pistol, as well.
Great Video with Phil. Noticed he head shot that shaving cream can...You ask for suggestions sometime. It might be a little messier than you like but that 12 gauge blackpowder double barrel pistol looks interesting "The Diablo"
The Diablo 12 gauge black powder pistol does look interesting, especially with the nickel finish with Rosewood grips. I can't make any promises but I will definitely put it on my list 👍😎
That's one nice pistol Phil!
Nice Pistol Glad Too See You Phil 😀👍🏼 Mixup98
Nice video.
Procedural, I've been told, and shown, sear surfaces of tuned 1911 pistols chipped and made unsafe by free release of the slide and the surfaces impacting on each other. Releasing the slide in loading doesnt seem to cause such damage.
Thanks for the heads-up! 👍😎
@@mixup98 You're welcome. I like your videos. We watch them as part of employee training in my gun store.
Remember, even the best shooters fuck up
You have an awesome family.
Thank you Tom....much appreciated!
So that's what the Porsche of guns looks like.
Having such a high quality pistol, has he considered mounting a top of the line optic like a Trijicon SRO? Then distant targets will be easier to hit.
Phil has mentioned that he might add a nice red dot but I don't think he has decided on which one yet. I'm sure he will now take a look at the Trijicon SRO and I thank you for the suggestion. We will do another video on this fine pistol if he does install an optic on it.
Fantastic, love Phil, nice picture
Many thanks and Phil says "hello Ira".
@@mixup98 great, 😊😊😊
Phil can shoot.
Yes indeed!
You'd probably do alright with a $3000 competition pistol too
@@LightofRyga Yes, because I can shoot too. But no amount of money spent on a gun will make you any good if you don't have the basics down, which Phil clearly does.
@@ofreen Yeah, it was just a joke my friend
@@LightofRyga No offense meant by me, just an observation. Have a good one.
Didn't know you had an older boy. You may have mentioned it somewhere in another video. Does he live here in Vegas or visiting?
You can see his skills came from the master.
Just thinking about you. Love your stuff always. How many move kids do you have we don't know about. Your next generation is doing well.
Thanks
Those are really nice guns but I will have to hit the lottery to own one
Hi Phil, nice weapon, but expensive. 🇬🇧
Mixup, may I suggest you try out the Glock 45 in 9mm? I have a used one that was made in 2018, which I got in a trade last year for my third-gen Glock 22. The gun came with Trijicon sights and I absolutely love it, and I don't miss the Glock 22 at all. The balance of the 45 is amazing, and the 5th-gen frame has great stippling for your hand. I love it so much that I might just get another one new this time from Talo Distributors, with the AmeriGlo Agent tritium sights. I think you'll love it! If you get a chance to get one, I highly recommend you do so.
Hello Vladpryde. You're right, the Model 45 is an amazing pistol. You may have noticed that I was carrying a pistol on my hip during this video. That pistol on my hip was a Glock Model 45 (9mm) which I bought about five years ago. I carried my Model 45, concealed, when I was working security on the Las Vegas Strip about four years ago. I own several Glock pistols and the Model 45 is my favorite. Here is the video review that I did on my Model 45: ua-cam.com/video/4Pii07mCIiY/v-deo.html
@@mixup98 That's awesome! I did see the Glock on your hip and thought: "I wonder if that is a Glock 45?". Thanks for the video link, I'll check it out!
Sweet! Thanks and take care!
Staccato... for when you really need to say "I took out a second mortgage!"
Never seen an air rack before, but alas I have seen air balls. Wonder what weight the recoil spring is? Or just hit the slide stop?
Awesome gun and Phil is a great shot! Love his flavor saver.
Nice shootin' fellas!
Nice looking pistol. Nice shooting too!
👍😎 👍😎
Good to see ya.
Hi Phill. Nice.
A gun just like Letty Davenport has. Well done.
Thank you Terrill 👍😎 👍😎
That's a really nice pistol.👍
You guys are amazing!!
Thanks....we really appreciate that!
👍Oh DATS nice! Super nice! Toooo rich $$ for my blood though. Good stuff.
nice looking pistol! kinda pricey but sharp!
My jaw dropped and I couldn't believe my eyes when you did that air rack. That was beyond impressive!
As for running around nude with that pistol......... don't do it! You don't want that kind of competition for barrel length..... 🧐😜🤣🤣🤣
Great video. Loved the pistol.
No1 son has a good , and apparently, inpronouncable pistol .
He he 👍🇬🇧
Bravo the best entertainment
Awesome video really nice pew
Thanks 😁
Nice pistol
Get channel..thanks for makin
You are very welcome and thank you for watching our channel.
There is an "Old" Saying in Spanish that goes like this: "De tal Palo tal Astilla" Congrats 👏👏👏😎👍‼️
I think Bill is a chip off the old block & God Bless Texas!!!
Hi John. I know it sounded like "Bill" in the video but his name is Phil and he wants to thank you for watching our video.
For $3k it had better not just shoot flawlessly. It should also be cooking my dinner, cleaning, etc.
👍😁
Nice piece but cost prohibited. For me anyway.
Dear Mixup,
Please tell me what pistol is best for me to go through a Concealed Carry License School. And would you recommend a different pistol for open carry? Thank you.
Where can I get a 75% off coupon 😬 to buy this$$$ nice gun ???
💯Thanks!😮👍!
You are very welcome Frank!
that gun is sweet, but I can't hang with that price tag
Phil has an Awesome Jaw Warmer!! And a crack shot to boot.
And here I came expecting a Taurus review... LOL!!!
