I can relate to Colombo history , since I am from Indonesia - Jakarta ( Batavia ) . we were both colonized by VOC ( the first western multinational company founded in Netherland in 17th century ) we both suffer from western imperialist and western greed even in modern times , the 98 Asia crisis where IMF show their real western face . we are now getting more and more doing bussines with China in infrastructure , Mining etc because they give more fair bussiness . the west will keep telling lies and brainwash about debt trap , bla bla bla

Sri Lanka's full economic potential remains relatively untapped. The country is not lacking in human talent or intellectual capital as compared to its hinterland on the subcontinent, India. The intelligentsia have high levels of competency in the English language. Prior to Singapore's independence in 1965, Sri Lanka had a size economy larger than it. Sri Lanka's active participation in the BRI through sea ports and an improved road network infrastructure to enable the efficient transport of finished goods from factory to port will help enhance its connectivity with China, Europe and Asia through different transport modes over land and sea and realise more of its economic potential. There was criticism on the expensive building costs for the newly minted Hambantota port and some of the infrastructural building projects not gaining traction with regards to delivering economic value that led to the shelving of another sea port development in the country (enhancing one of the existing ports or building an entirely new sea port) to boost the current port network in serving shipping traffic. The Hambantota port was built specifically to serve the East-West shipping route, arising from real demand without duplicating the coverage of existing ports. The siting of the new port at Hambantota was a deliberate and well-considered decision that supported the physical feasibility assessment of the intended location, at the southern tip of Sri Lanka, in proximity to international shipping routes than existing Sri Lankan ports to minimise the distance travelled by commercial ships from their main line of trajectory to call on port, translating into greater fuel and manpower cost and time savings accruing to shipping companies long-term for turnaround operations. There needs to be long-term commitment to the BRI for it to succeed. These port development projects are multi-year, large scale infrastructural investment commitments that take time to generate returns, not one-off expenditures. I am Narendra Modi. You can see here how many Indians hating this Sri Lanka - China project as this has got nothing to do with my toilet-less country India. But I have never seen Chinese in Indian channels, commenting on India. This is Indian life. You can see the filthy attitude of my own Indian people . Thanks to the British who ruled more than 200 years and another 300 years of Muslim Mughal occupation created this Union of India. If not for the more than 500 years of foreign occupation of the Sub Continent there wont be an India but many independent kingdoms who speak of their own language and practice culture. Unlike the Sri Lankans we Indians have forgotten our own history. India is still a *UNION* of independent former kingdoms. But we know how to poke our finger into our neighbours. We still have not learnt a lesson by worshipping Uncle Sam. In the recent clash with China, we lost 20 + military men including four senior officers and China captured and returned 10 more including 6 senior military officers back to India. Yes they were not just soldiers but senior officers. We also supported the LTTE by training them on Indian soil, for more than 40 years, we Indians supplied weapons, medicine and food, gave all fleeing LTTE terrorists safe heaven. We also sent Indian troops (IPKF) to Sri Lanka and occupied north Sri Lanka for for few years, we forced Sri Lankan government to amend its soverign constitution. And we are still spying on Sri Lanka. Tell me Sri Lankans what we Indians have done to Sri Lankan development.
