I prefer the black wax on the water lily color.
Back in the eighties i was decorating with many of these styles its fun to see them come back. I had a wall of baskets end trivets its a great look
This was my favorite video to date...I love seeing how all the different waxes play with the different paint colors. I also love your knack for wet distressing with random paint colors underneath. Like the Apothecary and red, the green under the Weathered Wood...you really have an eye for it! Plus, like the rest of the planet, I'm obsessed with IOD stamps and molds. So put the two in a video together...that equals total creative bliss.

l loved them all! It was great to see the different waxing techniques, I'm playing around with them but it helps to have someone who really knows how to use them. I loved that Water Lily color, would have not thought to use it. And the use of the blue on your stamps. I look forward to all your videos and learning about new techniques. High 70s-80s here in Florida.

Oh my gosh did I ever enjoy this video !!! Those cherubs you painted in WaterLily (beautiful color - by the way in the most recent FrontGate catalog, it’s very similar to their new color de jour called ‘Moonlight Blue’) love it. While I did like the black wax on the stamped waterlily piece, white wax makes my heart skip a beat...those cherubs...adorable !!! You really do have a great eye thrifting stuff and flipping into treasures !!

Hey Bri. I live in NewZealand. Just had a few tsunami warnings due to earthquakes out at sea so the top of NZ and down part of the East Coast were at risk for awhile but all ok. . Thankfully many people could return home today after being evacuated. But the weather is pleasant.
So happy to hear that you’re safe! We don’t deal with tsunamis in Kansas- must be scary! We do have tornados though!

Love how you hit the edges on the Bead Board with Weathered Wood, perfect aging ! It seems to be more controlled than the wax. Sometimes I get nervous with the waxes. They are new to me! And the Oils... but I just need to practice more maybe a simple piece of wood ...
Theses are beautiful and I love how you take your time to show us how to totally change the mood of colors with the waxes or “Weathered Woods gently brushed on!

Wax can be intimidating for sure! Remember to clear wax first and you’ll have a lot more control with the colored waxes! I'm in Texas - beautiful 70+ degree day yesterday. I have a question about using the baking soda/paint mixture over the ceramic pieces. I tried it, and it was like there were "hard spots" where the paint refused to cover. Should I have roughed up the ceramic first? (Yours look great!!)
Love DIY paint and the IOD stamps/molds, etc. Do you know if there is something that can be used that will seal the chalk paint for outdoor use?
I use KILZ outdoor sealer :)
Miss Bri- question- how long can a mixture of baking soda and paint be stored? Or should you only mix what you are going to use at the time? Learning Learning!!! thank you!
I have stored my mixture in a sealed jar and it kept just fine mixed with the DIY paint! I used it about 2 weeks later and it was good!

Are these cement look items suitable for outdoors?
The wax isn’t an outdoor sealer but with that being said- I have several little angels and birds they I left on my porch all spring and summer last year and the paint job didn’t budge! If anything, it will make it look aged and even better over time in my opinion! 😉

On your vase, did you paint any on the inside or do you stop at the rim?
I stoped at the rim so if the buyer wanted to use for flowers, they can still fill it with water!
