I appreciated your comment about keeping the Bibles intact. Thank you for showing that respect. It tells a lot about your character. God bless and keep up the good work!
Your "cloche" is actually a cheese board with cover. Every home had one of them in the 60s and 70s. Your haul was droolworthy, for sure! How to not keep it all? Lol! 😍😍😍
That is definitely an AMAZING haul!! I'd definitely have a hard time deciding what to keep and what to sell as you got some great stuff! I'd definitely like to see a video on what goes on with staging your booth. Loved this one!!
Going through your finds an you made comment about being excited .........wellllllll, I still get excited at 85. So, I guess it never leaves you. I am taking my small garage an I will fix it to have sales from my home each season that way I can also look for more FUN! I enjoy All that you do. Keep it coming.
My parents have always called bottle openers “church keys”. It’s code so you don’t have to say the scandalous “beer bottle opener”. Lol it might be a Southern thing but idk. I’m in Texas.
Bri...would you consider doing a video on how you started your business and helped it to grow? I've outgrown my space and want to start selling to a broader market (I sell on Facebook now) really, really need to get something started but have no idea where to begin. Craft show? Booth? Consignment? I have no booth setup now and am not sure what I should be collecting, etc. I would love to hear how you got to where you are now. I really love your videos, and your style!
Oh my gosh! I love your hauls! You get so excited like I do going through old junk. Haha! I felt like I was right there with you! My mom gave me a few large jugs like you have. When you heard something rattling it reminded me of when I brought mine home and was cleaning them up...I heard rattling too..it ended up being a bunch of little mouse carcasses! 15! I counted them!🤣. Poor guys climbed in and couldn’t get out.
Bri, your booth is much lighter and brighter in the new arrangement! You stage it so beautifully. Thanks for letting us see your new treasures. I’ve never heard of bottle openers called church keys either. Gonna Google it... (Oh my, there’s an international organization of collectors of bottle openers!) Simple put, it’s because they resemble church keys.
Wow oh wow!!! You will probably easily quadruple your money...easily! The crocks.. wow!!! So many great items. I have a rule, never look in to a crock that sounds like something is in it. Yikes! Might just be a marble, might be something alive lol! Loved your excitement! 💚 Your booth looks so much better. Loved the big galvanized tub. Very nice job!
Awesome idea! I kept a few and I was going to repurpose some outdoor metal votive holders with that idea! I’ll post them with some upcoming outdoor videos ❤️
I just opened a small booth about 4 weeks ago so love seeing how others run and take care of their booths. Thanks for sharing. I love your booth!!! Church key is what we in Minnesota called bottle openers. 😂 Your reaction was priceless. Great haul! 💖💜💖
Thank you!! More booth videos to come! :). And yes I kept my jar of “church keys”... I just had to after all the awesome responses! It was 50/50 on people knowing what that meant!
Such a great HAUL !! My favorite things...that sweet lil Bible and the folding rulers. I have a collection of rulers, and yard sticks, and skirt hemming measuring sticks. I Love things with numbers and letters on them. My collections have collections. 🤣🤣 I really enjoyed tonight’s video. Sorry for the multiple comments 😬... PS the final look of your booth space was fantastic. Pops of yellow and that purplish blue 💛💙💜
My father used a folder ruler like those. I have collected three. At school I would shape one like a star at Christmas and hang on my bulletin board. The kids had no idea what it was.
Great haul. You have bought yourself work (ha ha) . Think the three items are for slicing vegetables, cucumber our cabbage.. That was very interesting. I would love to have those inch rules. Thanks bye from Yasmin.
The booth looks lovely!! I was wondering what size your booth is? I have an opportunity to move into a 8x24, but I’m worried that it’s too big. Thanks!
It’s airy and springlike...gorgeous! BTW, bottle openers used to be called “church keys”, at least here in southeastern Ohio! And you are a better woman than me if you sell most of those darling crocks😊
Wow! That was quite the score! Glad you were both happy with the price. I hope they sell better for you than they did for her. The glass domes aren't cloches - the small one is a cheese board the larger one is the top to a cake plate. That's why they're thick, heavy glass - so they would stand up to daily use. The 'rusty spoon' is an antique smelting ladle - they would melt lead in them to make musket balls. I've seen people turn the insulators upside down and use them in iron votive holders as a neat vintage looking candle holder... or I guess you could put faux flowers in them, too. Ok.... What was in the jar you squirreled away and said it was special? Did I miss that? I'm so curious now!!! lol (I think it was at about 9:20.)
FABULOUS ITEMS!!! Yes...I get excited over “junk” but they are treasures ❤️. LOL!!! Oh that big Amber Bottle ! Your jug that you said you thought something furry was inside.....BEWARE ! I got a jug like that at an Auction and I told my husband it smelled SWEET ! 🤷♀️ So I washed the outside of the jug and sat it in my kitchen for a couple of days. But..I told my husband that there was something in it...so he took it out doors and turned it upside down and let it sit in the sun for a couple of days. It started to drip something out... LOL!!! SO he got a stick and tried to stir it or figure out what it was.... HANG ON BRI.... I told him I was going to boil water and pour it in! So I did.. 😳. Well the man had it in his “feed storage room” in his barn....it had Molasses inside and around 20 well PRESERVED MICE that crawled INTO the jug and couldn’t get get back out! It was an old fashion AND A GOOD IDEA for a mouse problem .... fill it with Molasses which will draw the mice , they can’t get out...and they don’t smell, !!!! I WAS TOTALLY GROSSED OUT FOR MANY DAYS.... finally washed and washed AND WASHED IT out doors with boiling water and bleach and SOAP! So get it in mind.......😳😳😳 You got so many wonderful items...I can’t wait to see them cleaned, upcycled, restyled and the “ Bri Touch” done to them!!! And YES to doing more videos like this ! Your Booth look so great !
🤢🤢🤢 glad I didn’t check any further!! Lol. I’ll make my dear partner check for me!! Lol. Oh Jayne I can’t even imagine what your husband said to you!!! Oh the things we do for our old junk!! ❤️❤️❤️. And deal! More booth staging and more hauls!!! Thank you so much for watching and commenting as always! You are so sweet.
@@UpcycledbyBri LOL.... He said “ you don’t want to know what is in it !”... Well you don’t say those words to me....now I am MORE CURIOUS !!! But yes..🤮🤮. Can’t wait to see your staging!
Question...do you fluff your booth while the mall is open ?? Or do you have access before customers come in. What size is your space ? Love the backdrop of vintage doors !! 💚💚
We can only work during open hours but it’s nice so I can talk with customers and answer paint questions! I try not to work during super busy times because I create a tornado of a booth every time! Just the way my brain works lol!
Your booth looks amazing. With everything going on in my life I just moved to a smaller booth. Leas stress. That's what I need. Can you come help me stage it? 🙃. Come hang out at the beach
Not a dumb question at all! Vintage Glass insulators were first produced in the 1850s for telegraph lines, then for telephone and power transmission lines. They insulated and protected the wooden poles from the electricity coursing through the wires. They are made from glass, porcelain, or composite polymer materials
Yes I’m a full time furniture artist, reseller and content creator now!! I worked in the fitness industry for 7 years prior to this- managed some gyms and did personal training :). I need to do a q& a!
Hi Bri I’ll love to buy the two little round beige and brown crocks ( the one with the handle and the one one with the blue stamp) are the still available 🙏🙏🙏thank you
bottle openers are referred to as church keys. here is what i found on line about the name theory was that most of the brewers at that time were monks and the brewing beers are kept under lock and key that only the monks have access to. Contrary to their teachings to not imbibe in alcoholic drinks, they were the ones ironically making the “accursed” drink. The term church key is a derisive term that means when you use the church key (meaning the bottle opener to open beer), you are most likely to miss church, therefore you cannot use the literal church key to enter.

I have one from my parents growing up!! I saw your comment and her find, that brought back many incredible childhood memories!
That shaver thing is a mandolin, aka finger cutter.
Lol yeah that thing swung open on me! I squealed. Unfortunately I wasn’t filming anymore
Nice haul! Also I love your booth. The old doors for the background is a cool idea!
Thank you! They are super Strong so I can hang a good amount of stuff!
Loved your haul. As an older man, so many of the items are memories from my youth.
That was such a gold mine !! Really incredible solid pieces you received!! Top notch!!

I love watching you Re-work your booth! Also, you’re the luckiest junker I know 🤣🤣
So happy you were able to get all these wonderful things for such a great price Bri. Can’t wait to see what you do town them. 💕
That is definitely an AMAZING haul!! I'd definitely have a hard time deciding what to keep and what to sell as you got some great stuff! I'd definitely like to see a video on what goes on with staging your booth. Loved this one!!
So much goodness in that haul!!! WOW!! Awesome!
Oh girl, I am sooo jealous!! You seriously scores on this hall!!
Thank you for sharing your booth 😊. Love the haul items! That white cast iron tulip hanger is the bomb! I'd be keeping that one for sure.

The wood thing is a mandolin for slicing veg potatoes ect..and the wooden deer is classed as vintage now from the 60s 70s 😀
I had to keep the little deer/antelope dude!

I’ve seen people take the individual springs from bed springs to hold the insulators for small florals. Very pretty. Love your booth!
Awesome idea! I kept a few and I was going to repurpose some outdoor metal votive holders with that idea! I’ll post them with some upcoming outdoor videos ❤️
Wow, you got some great stuff.Picking it is just as much fun as selling it....
