Space and the use of it is as important as the furniture. This house has scale, it’s not cluttered, has large design elements when the space is large. I like how the stairs were designed.

This is my least favorite style of “architecture” and I use that term lightly… I like the no fuss aspect, but something feels inauthentic about it… I don’t get organic from this at all. I get studied, careful, and safe. But to each his own.
I love the hand-painted panel in the dining room, and I wondered who painted? I love the black painted expansive, walnut,neat kitchen. This beautiful home made appear to be for entertainment purposes rather than a house that four people hugged it. I believe the lady because I feel her love of her home and the plants throughout her home show her affection and interaction within and home is what a person makes of it . A high-end custom-built home. Best of materials and craftsmanship. You can tell the difference from mass house buildings in these crappy neighborhoods where every house looks the same built with cheap materials

Is using the word "Obsessed" a prerequisite for being on Homeworthy? I have only viewed one video over the last several months where the hostess did not use the word to describe her fondness for a particular item. That being said...the property was lovely and I would have like to see more of the outdoors.

A nice modern home with clean lines and decor. LOve the woodland garden set in the woodsy feel of the trees. Don't know why the homeowner sounds a bit defensive when she describes everything and needs to justify e.g. why no art on the fireplace, why things look the way they do, why.... No explanation needed- just do what a person securely loves, plain and simple.

your views are so beautiful i would go with sheer or solid colour curtains to not steal the show, esp in the dining room, the curtains I feel and the rug take away the impact from the De gournay mural. Other than that, the house is def very impressive, hope you enjoy it!
What material are your countertops?
Love your home! An idea to add Art to your fireplace; maybe think about using custom made black wrought frames made by an iron worker in geometrical shapes, like a large triangle, square and a circle mounted strategically up high over that beautiful wood. The empty iron frames would add dimension and space at the same time, and be pieces of art while still being able to see the wood show through. Btw your triangle pattern drapes would compliment the geometric look of the fireplace. Warm regards, Jade from Long Island, New York.
