Your video is not only instructional it's presented in a well organized manner, which I believe is achievable only vía knowledge and experience. It's evident that you have both. I would definitely like to see the follow-up video, including the actual wiring and final fixture installation. Best regards
Nice video. I built my own, but a plumb pipe billiard table light for my billiard table. It's larger and uses 1/2 in pipe and uses premade Half inch plumbing pipe goose-neck male to male 1/2 inch NPT thread to connect to my Plumbing Pipe To Light Fitting Coupler 1/2″NPT To 1/8 IPS. This allows me to connect my 120v E26 sockets. All the parts were available to me online from a company called Edison Light Globes. I'm now building some outdoor waterproof plumbing lights with their Solid aluminum water proof light globe cage and glass cover, that apparently were originally on ships in engine rooms, and designed to be explosion proof. Can't wait to finish them, and put them up outside my garage.
I've used quite a bit of black iron pipe in stuff I've made. Sometimes using the close nipple just doesn't look right. In those cases, I've used threaded rod which brings the fittings together. Thanks for the info on the sizing up of the light socket and pipe. Would like to see a video on wiring a black iron pipe light fixture and lamps.
Looking forward to the wiring video, hoping it will have a ground. Every DIY Pipe light fixture video I've found doesn't explain how to add a ground to the fixture. So many commenters point out it needs one on every video out there... yet no one explains how to do it! Subscribed!
Many people can't do this. It's all about the sizes and knowledge of fittings that are available for what you wanna do. I can tell you've done carpenter's work for a while.
Painting galvanized ... Wash fitting with vinegar first, then lightly sand and then a special primer isn't needed (in my experience) ... Sometimes you can substitute a pvc bushing instead of galvanized or black pipe
hi great info just starting out with this industrial look lighting, pipe work all clear but i cant find the light fittings for an E27 thread can you help ?
I would say all he did was weld that earth point screw onto the flange (that you can see in the video, as that's not typically on a flange), then use wire nuts inside the electrical box and attach a ground wire to the fixture to prevent shock if one of the wires came loose and shorted against the metal fixture.
I just followed these instructions but I found that the flange doesn’t fit. I have the 4” round junction box, and the flange screw holes do not line up with the junction box. Is there another size flange I should get instead?
Brilliant video, so many questions were answered for me. If I may ask, is there any savings by buying black pipe on line, as it is unlikely rated for gas which is ok, since we are making light fixtures? I noticed the ground screw on your flange, is it safe to say, you added that yourself? Thanks in advance.
This was very helpful but I thought you were gonna explain the electrical work too. That would of been very helpful too.tital does say DIY light fixture.
Fyi I watched this guy who had bought galvanized fittings he used swimming muratic acid an the galvie boiled off in a couple minutes. Than he put the parts in baking soda water mix to neutralize the acid. Done deal.
Great video … useful and to the point information with no pointless commentary.
Glad you liked it!

Great video! When might you be posting a wiring video? Thanks!

Any update on the wiring tutorial?
Great information! I found this very useful. Would love to see the wiring video.
Thanks King.

Please explain how you did the ground connection terminal to the floor flange.

Will you still be doing the wiring video?

TY for the brainstorming info, I’m going to utilize other materials to accomplish the the same thing. Excellent video presentation format👍
Hello, thank you for the very easy to understand video. Could you please post a link to your wiring video as I can't seem to find it. Thanks!!
How did you add the ground screw to the 1 1/2” floor flange?
Awesome video. Exactly what I needed to know for a garage lighting project. Thank you so much.
Do you have a video on how to do the actual wiring? Say for a wall mount?
How did you do the ground?
i have the same comment as below.. great video and i too am looking forward to the follow up video regarding wiring.
I look forward to the ground as well. How do you wire this?
Why is there no ground wire?
@@motoxjosh29 does not have to have one to meet code on most lighting.
@@thepitpatrol strange. I'm a mechanical guy and electricity is confusing lol
How do you connect all the wires from the multiple light sockets?
There is a lot of great info in this video.
Great video. Definitely thumbs up.
One at home...Love it!

Is the wiring video out there?
I’m new to you tube. I subscribed and tried finding the episode on wireing these up. Not seeing it. Is it out yet?
Where is the wiring video
Excellent information!

Very helpful video. Can you please post a link to the next video you mentioned about wiring the light fixture.

Very cool! Thank you!
Excelente gracias por tu tiempo.
You never made the video about the wiring that you promised in this video : (
Still waiting for the Wiring video......

If you haven’t got pipe wrenches you can use liquid PTFE
ok where do I get a 1 1/2" to 1" bushing at? I google and I am not seeing it anywhere
Most plumbing supplies carry all types and varieties, and would be cheaper at plumbing supply over online.

Yet another video where I can't find bits in the UK, like the pigtail fixture.
Fittings made in Chine?
pig tail fixtures? peg tail?
"China" ...
