Brandon Pilkington Yes. I have it for the Wii. It’s the worst game I think I’ve ever played, but at the same time, I love more than almost any of my Wii games. It’s a complicated relationship.
Blossom and Aku are the most hilarious characters. Aku never stops laughing with his half screen instant laser and Blossom can freeze combo you at like 20%.
if I remember, the devs actually wanted to use DMC1-4 Dante but Capcom was like FUCK YOU we want to promote DmC. Same reason why Raiden is in this game for whatever reason even though Revengence wasn't even out
I remember hearing things like this. Other pounts include the idea of having Cloud (But Square wanting them to put Lightning in to Promote XIII, who was going to be DLC) and Snake, but Hideo didnt want Snake and Raiden fighting each other
Hideo Kojima didn't want Snake and Raiden in the same fighting game because he didn't want them to fight each other? That's... actually really wholesome. A man with a vision, I guess.
There's also Lara Croft who could've been in the game as DLC because Square Enix wanted her to appear in Tomb Raider 2013 first before Psasbr. But that of course didn't come into fruition :c
Don't forget that Dart from Legend of Dragoon was considered as DLC but they decided HEY WE NEED UH, ZEUS FROM GOD OF WAR

My Favorite to play was Kratos but I'm a literal god with Dante, I always claimed to be the best lol
I remember when this game came out, and even though many people were split on whether or not it was a good game, everyone agreed that that intro is fucking awesome!

Jokes aside, I don't know how good the MediEvil ISOs are for the PSX emulator but for anyone willing to have a fun time it's definitely worth a try.

This game was developed by the same studio that made God of War, and boy were they not the least bit subtle about their favourtism toward Kratos.
Keep in mind that when Kratos was in Mortal Kombat, they said that Kratos was never allowed to be shown as weak or meak.
Kratos is so stupidly OP in this game that it killed the franchise on arrival.

Man, Microsoft has so many great characters to choose from. It’s a wonder why they didn’t attempt this concept yet!
I actually think a Xbox cross-over VS game would work well, but do it as a 3rd person style shooter/action game instead of a fighter. It wouldn't need a huge roster, but they could go the PSAllStars route and have it be a mix of owned characters and characters that are "iconic" to the system, either currently or in the past. Master Chief, Marcus Fenix, Blinx, Voodoo Vince, Shepard from Mass Effect, Stubbs the Zombie, Noel from BlazBlue, Minecraft Steve, Shu from Blue Dragon, the cast of all the Rare releases from their systems. There certainly would be more to pick from then most would imagine.

The fact that after Julian said “to recite Shakespearean quotations” after sir Daniel took off his head warmed my heart, but then it broke when no one acknowledged my beautiful Mexican man
A game that was celebrating a brand that was pioneering 3D gaming, last thing I was expecting was a crappy inconsistent looking 2D fighting game that took some of the worst aspects of smash and made them worse. The thing it should've taken from smash was a consistent art style for all the characters.
A consistent art style would've ruined some of the fun though.
It's already lacking that enough, the original version of the Uncharted level looked sweet though

I've played this game a lot back then with some friends. You can have tons of fun and there some more or less deep mechanics. Yeah they could've added some more, but the game is really old. I think if they made another one it could be really cool. Also the storymode was shit.

My dad had this game. I only ever saw him and my brothers two weeks in the summer. I loved playing this game as a child,, i remember my oldest brother always playing as sly cooper, I always played as Rachet,,, good memories.

It’s really weird to think that Arin was on the tester, do you think he still looks back on the experience fondly? Or is he more in tune with Chris’ thoughts towards it?
Arin's been pretty open about not liking The Tester or the people running it, and says one of the judges in particular had it out for him and contrived a reason to eliminate him. He initially was going to deliberately phone it in but grew to really like and form friendships with the other contestants, so he competed seriously for them.
I died when Julian replied with "Oh my God." in all seriousness to the playtesting by Santa Monica 😂
It did more to be different as a platform-fighter than any others coming out today.
Rivals of Aether and Icons are basically just fans of Melee who remade Melee and changed almost nothing else about it. PSA is pretty trash but at least it had more creative people behind it than ROA and Icons.

I actually quite enjoyed this game.
I used to play this game competitively back in the day. It honestly gets really intense when played correctly. Too bad the game is so unbalanced and unpolished that it's near unplayable if aren't into it like smash. Game has a lot of memories for me, I'm glad they played it on the show.
This game was my life when it first came out - my main being Kat from Gravity Rush, I was disappointed that it didn't get much support though.

Bioshock came out on Xbox before PlayStation. Big Daddy isn't even a PlayStation character. They had to use characters from other consoles to fill the roster

Not really, in all of smash 4s *58* character roster, there's probably only 4-6 characters that fall into third party. Brawl's the only one to ever have a Playstation first party I.P, which was Solid Snake.
BioShock was the only PS3 game that ran in 1080p if I remember correctly.

@ angryblackmage Yeah, but in the playstation 1-3 era, Konami only made the series for Sony. Final Fantasy was the same; started off on Nintendo, went to playstation. Today, both IP are pretty much third party, though.
It's moments like these, when watching this gameplay, that I think to myself, "Maybe Sony made a mistake when they broke off from Nintendy all dem years ago." Then I bare witness to perhaps the best fighting stage in gaming history...BIG ROOM!

As someone who knows people who have done QA for games i can confirm it is a crap job. You spend all day playing the same level of a game you don't like rubbing your face against walls trying to find bugs, submitting reports with a lot of them getting ignored.
Heihachi chained Kazuya and Jin to a rocket in, I believe, Tekken 5.

There is quite literally only one Tester winner that actually still works at Santa Monica, and it's AkileezMight from Season 3. The only reason I know that is because I still know him personally and talked to him as he was working on God of War 2018 and Ragnarok.

Oh my god when Ding Dong randomly triggers the Heihachi super and it's a reference to when he chained his father, his son and his grand-son to a fucking rocket and set them blasting off into space, I was laughing a lot. I loved that. It was even funnier that none of the crew seemed to have a clue why it was happening
