I'm an owner with Westgate and have been to this resort in 2019, it's been a while but i remember loving it and having a great time. I'm excited to see the new waterpark! And as far as the dated units, the last unit at Westgate vacation villas we stayed in was the most dated I've ever seen but I'm pretty positive they were trying to persuade me to upgrade my usage and get me out of my lockoff unit. Lakes resort though was amazing in my opinion. But yes, the parking is rough times. Don't go grocery shopping at night, you'll end up carrying a lot of bags a good distance LoL.
My family’s had a timeshare since 1996. I used to go here every year growing up until I left for the military. It’s been a decade since I’ve been and I’m super excited to go in January and check out everything that’s new.
I'll be traveling there in two weeks for a business trip. I couldn't book the place I originally wanted, so I chose this one because it's close to the convention center. I don't care about the extra stuff. I just want a quiet, clean place to rest.
@@lauprinc3z830 Me and the family we have 2 kids had a blast. The staff was really nice, if you don't have a car they have shuttles ongoing all the time. The place was really clean, bed was clean and comfy. the kids love the waterpark a lot, pool was amazing, We played arcade, tried the restaurant it had really good food. Bowling was fun also and we tried the miniputt. I did not have time to do everything there was to offer has our main goal there was Disney. We will be going back to this resort for sure. Hopes this helps.
This was a nice sumamry of the resort. I am currently staying at a studio on building 1600 and was wondering if I should go and visit the water park since I aleady have two free tickets. I know there is nothing free in this world and everything wither has been paid for, or you will probably pay for it in a form in future (either by selling out your information, or your time!). This video gave me some additional idea on how the resort looks like. However, I still can't make my mind as the water park is far from my building and I have to walk there with swimming cloth and towel and... just to get wet alone. I wish my family was here with me :/ It then would have been an easy decision.
Hi! If you have a car - then you can drive to the waterpark. The waterpark consists of 2 slides and a kids area and smaller slides. So that is up to you if you want to go. Since it's free - then I don't see why not. For me, I prob wouldn't want to pay extra money for the smaller water park. Enjoy your time there - hope the weather is nice!
Brandon, i hated everything about this resort. As soon as I pulled up it felt to much like an apartment complex rather than a resort. Staff was rude. Parking was horrible. They didn't offer room cleaning and there was a ton of riff raff while I was there. I wetnessed a fight at the pool while there. And honestly it was not even that cheap. I did the 90 min time share and they gave me free admission to the water park. We had zero interest in going after already being at the "resort" for a few days that we just gave the wrist bands away.
If you buy Universal through them they do offer shuttle to Universal, which that is awesome. Disney is not far away take a uber it cost us 15$ which is really good.
I just reserved a couple days at the beginning of March. I hope it's not as bad as the comments say. I saw there are charges for practically everything if you aren't an owner. I'm hoping the location is worth it. From what I can tell it's right across from SeaWorld. Here's hoping I didn't screw myself into a dump of a resort. 😕🤞🏾
$20 per person per day for the waterpark. Plus, the resort also charges a resort fee. This resort is a scam. Room service- $44 US for a burger and fries. Please note that tbis resort is a scam. Our weekly stay cost over an additional $900 US extra on top of the originial booking. Please stay away from this resort
@caseyhenderson8386 - This is what they charge now. The resort is full of hidden fee's. You use to be able to stay here , pay for your room, and everything was included, not anymore. This place has become very expensive
My family has had a timeshare here since they opened in 1996. I’ve went every year growing up. I can definitely say this place is not overpriced if you are considered a member. All amenities are free. Why pay for room service? Go down and get food. This is not a “scam” if you don’t go for the most expensive way to do things.
I just became an Owner, Ordering toom service comes with a fee. I have no idea why anyone would complain about room service. The foods not free. 😅 @lkmidge

Valid point about grocery shopping!! Never even thought of that!

Sounds like a horrible time. I am sorry you had to go through that! While we enjoyed it - this property isn't our favorite one in orlando :)
Nice place
Do they have transportation to Disney parks and universal studios parks or do you have to rent a car?
They do not offer a shuttle. Sorry.

Why did it cost you so much? Room service/pool fees?

You should have gotten Uber Eats.
